Editor’s Note: This post is by Paul Slezak, Cofounder and CEO of RecruitLoop – the World’s largest marketplace of expert Recruiters and Sourcers available on-demand.
As part of our strategic planning for 2019, along with all our recruiter and client initiatives, this year we have also decided to focus on the community. After all, having been around for nearly eight years now, it’s time we started giving back.
RecruitLoop is partnering with On My Feet to help give the homeless a hand up, not a hand out.
On My Feet is transforming lives, providing pathways to improved employability through skills development and work experience opportunities for men and women dealing with or at risk of homelessness based on their commitment to running.
On My Feet’s running groups offer the chance for improved mental and physical health whilst cultivating positive social connections within a supportive running community.
Running is a great metaphor for life – you get out of it what you put in. On My Feet is not looking to create champion runners but to create independence, self worth, and a positive contribution to the community.
You can find out all about the amazing On My Feet program here.
I have known Keegan Crage the Chairman and Founder of On My Feet for nearly 25 years and he has always been a great supporter of RecruitLoop and was one of our very first clients.
I think what Keegan and his Leadership Team have built over the last four years is incredible, and their stories of successfully introducing participants to potential employers and education programs are inspirational.
How is RecruitLoop playing its part?
We’ll be sending a pair of On My Feet branded socks to every Australian client who approaches RecruitLoop and launches and completes a project with one of our recruiters during 2019.
Every pair of socks equates to a donation to the awesome On My Feet Charity.
It makes sense that by thanking our clients and recognizing how they are helping candidates take the next step in their careers, that RecruitLoop is also helping men and women dealing with or at risk of homelessness by giving them the chance to take a big step in the right direction.
We hope our clients will post photos of themselves wearing the bright orange On My Feet socks on our Facebook page to help spread the word.
Here’s to a great partnership!
