I spent the first 18 years of my career (before the RecruitLoop adventure began) working in extremely corporate and professional environments. One company I worked for almost insisted on a dress code of navy blue suit, white shirt, dark tie and heaven forbid anyone caught a glimpse of my Donald Duck socks if I was sitting in a team meeting in the office!<\/p>\n

I was allowed to keep a cactus on my desk! What a perk!<\/p>\n

In 2003 I visited one of our offices in Boston and I remember seeing a Labrador asleep on a mat in the corner and immediately assumed that there must have been a blind team member in the office.<\/p>\n

Wrong! That office had a “dogs are welcome in the office” policy!<\/p>\n

Over the last few years (and especially working in the startup hub in San Francisco) I’ve worked with some incredibly talented people. But I’ve also worked with some amazing dogs! Seriously … some have sat right beside me; others have come in to check out what might be hidden in the trash cans; and others might just be roaming around the office space.<\/p>\n

People watching is always an interesting pass time … but I can tell you that dog watching is an amazing way to destress and re-charge in any workplace.<\/p>\n

When I came across this awesome infographic published by Headway Capital, I knew I had to share it.<\/p>\n
