About the Role We are looking for a highly technical and hands-on Senior Healthcare Data Modeler to lead a global data modeling team responsible for transforming conceptual and logical data models into optimized physical ERDs. About the Role The DevOps Team focuses on improving the telemetry and availability of Abacus' product offerings while contributing to the sustainability of engineering practices across the organization. As the "engineers behind the engineers," we handle a diverse set of tasks from across the DevOps spectrum. In this role, you will work in many contexts, using a variety of tools and technologies to remove obstacles and keep the engineering organization moving efficiently and effectively. We are a small, nimble team making an outsized impact. Your day to day: Architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable, HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant infrastructure on multiple cloud platforms (AWS and Azure). Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. Define DevOps architecture best practices and lead the strategic direction for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to design robust infrastructure solutions. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Python-based scripts to automate testing, validation, and deployment workflows. Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, and self-hosted). Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk. Drive design, implementation, and adoption of our custom Python- and cloud-based deployment platform with an eye toward continuous delivery. Be a leader and promoter of best practices both within the team and across the organization. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues. Continuously improve automation, monitoring, and security practices. Mentor team members and advocate for DevOps best practices. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our architecture. What you bring to the team: 7+ years of development experience, including architecture and design of complex systems. Deep cloud experience (AWS preferred). Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge. Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD systems using platforms like GitLab, Jenkins, or Travis. Expertise in containerization (Docker and Kubernetes). Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Terraform). Knowledge of best practices for building efficient, maintainable, testable, and portable applications. Keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills. A team-first attitude and a passion for continuous improvement. Compensation: Compensation for this role is based on experience, skills, and location, and includes base salary plus eligibility for performance bonuses and equity grants.
