    Community Outreach Specialist - Part-Time, Dayton Girl Scouts of Western Ohio has a great opportunity to join our organization as a Community Outreach Specialist! This part-time position is community-based and a great opportunity to engage our local community in all things Girl Scouts! We are seeking engaging individuals that are comfortable working in mostly urban, Title I communities to support all girls in the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout Program through delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience! This is an ideal role for students, parents, or anyone looking to supplement their income who has a flexible schedule while gaining valuable experience. This position will serve our Central region with service areas supporting the greater Dayton and Springfield area. The Community Outreach Specialist leads local community and school-based education sessions to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with girls! Activities include leading and assisting volunteers and staff with episodic fun learning opportunities that will build empowered future women leaders! This role requires the ability to speak in public group settings at local schools and community centers, comfortably interact with both girls and caregivers and meet target outreach goals to ensure we have a diverse group of girls benefiting from our programs. Light technical skills are needed in order to communicate via email, edit documents and electronically complete and track membership registrations. This is a part-time position worked between August - June and role offers up to 28 hours per week. Specialists may work a flexible schedule of weekday hours, Monday-Friday, between 9:00am-6:00pm; occasional weekend availability is a plus! The travel expectation is up to 50 miles using your personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Deliver high-quality Girl Scout series programs for youth in assigned Title One Schools/areas. Cultivate and collaborate with assigned schools, community organizations and networks to increase visibility and opportunities for girls, support volunteers, and increase program and funding partnerships to meet council objectives. Support community volunteers to assist in Girl Scout program delivery. Monitor evaluation results and adjust program delivery as needed. THE ROLE We are currently seeking Ohio State students with an interest in developing their communication skills, growing fundraising knowledge and expanding their network! The Student Engagement Specialist position offers flexible scheduling, a fun atmosphere, skill development and much more. Student Engagement Specialists are responsible for cultivating relationships with donors, alumni, friends and family of the university, with the goal of them becoming donors or continuing to give to Ohio State by providing excellent customer service. This is achieved by creating unique engagements with Ohio State alumni, friends and family through telephone and digital interactions. This position plays an essential role in implementing the engagement and fundraising efforts for The Ohio State University. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Understand and implement strategic engagement opportunities through proactive and reactive outreach via telephone calls and other digital interactions with alumni, family, and friends to connect them back to The Ohio State University. * Secure gifts and provide related stewardship and relationship building in conjunction with The Ohio State University Alumni Association. * Work closely with the Manager of the Student Engagement Specialists and Student Supervisors to execute strategy and provide comprehensive support for broad-based fundraising, including annual solicitations and special projects for all fundraising. * Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the philanthropic priorities of the university to effectively present a case for support in order to secure donations. * Take timely and strategic steps in developing connections and relationships with alumni, friends, and affiliates of the university through telephone calls and digital communication. * Make effective use of the university's constituent database and other institutional resources to ensure appropriate management of donors, constituents, alumni, and volunteers in coordination with university objectives. What You'll Do: As a Catering Service Worker at Sodexo, you are also a warm welcomer and smile maker for our customers. You will operate the service line with a customer-first approach. This role may include serving of our vibrant menus and ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy. Responsibilities include:Organize, set up and deliver requested catering services to specific requested location or conference room. Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers. Set up all food and beverage in a professional appearance and logical manner, ensuring all condiments and service ware are available as needed Ensures all services are cleaned up at the end of the meeting/event Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
