REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
Current license to practice as a Physician's Assistant required.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a Physician's Assistant is required.
Preferred qualifications include, a background in mental health and addiction medicine and demonstrated skills in primary care medicine for a minimum of 2 years..
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determine and formulate health histories and perform physical exams.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems.
Based on available clinical data, work cooperatively with patients and the care team to formulate and implement a person-centered care plan.
Conduct ongoing health care and clinical management of stable, chronically ill patients. Provide provider services in Office Based Opioid Treatment Program, including substance use treatment with buprenorphine and other medications.
Support pharmacy-based Hepatitis C programs and offer medical visits to support clients receiving treatment.
Collaborate with an integrated care team to provide the most cost-effective and high-quality care.
Determine and manage minor and/or acute illnesses and initiate treatment.
Conduct initial care for emergencies such as illness or injury and initiate arrangements for continuing care.
Prescribe medication or other forms of treatment as necessary.
Assess the need for and perform clinical procedures, including joint injections, incision and drainage of abscesses, skin biopsies, and toenail removal.
Participate in and, at times, lead Provider Education Sessions on a variety of clinical topics.
Participate in compliance, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities as directed.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal performance on team- and clinic-based performance metrics.
Work as a member of the Primary Care Clinic multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, client-centered, and trauma-informed integrated services.
Actively participate in the integration of services at the Primary Care Clinic and identify new opportunities to improve collaboration between and within service and care teams while carefully following information-sharing guidelines.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within Primary Care Clinic workflows and logistics. Participate in the review of Key Performance Indicators; review and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and plans.
Build understanding of and appreciation for diversity among Primary Care Clinic clients and support their connection to culturally responsive and culturally specific services as requested.
Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements according to community partners and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving services or an outside provider to the Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.
Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional work at other clinical sites and/or off-site at community events.

Primary Responsibilities:

Position Location: 1830 S Horne St. Mesa, AZ 85204
Position Schedule: Monday - Friday with monthly alternating shifts from 5:00am - 2:30pm and 8:00 am - 5:30pm
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot the automatic tablet dispensing
Perform routine maintenance, repair, and replacement of components
Calibrate and validate the accuracy of the pill counter
Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the equipment
Adhere to company, state, and federal guidelines for licensing and training
Lift objects weight up to 50 lbs. when required
Stand up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work collaboratively as part of a team
Be flexible to meet shift requirements, including occasional overtime

Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician License or Medication Handling License in the state of Arizona OR the ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of employment
6+ months of experience in at least one of the following: pharmacy, electrical/mechanical equipment, automotive, electronics, HVAC or electricity
Intermediate level of proficiency with basic hand tools (screwdriver, allen wrench, etc.)
Ability to work full time at 1830 S Horne St. Mesa, AZ 85204
Ability to work Monday through Friday with monthly alternating shifts from 5am-2:30pm and 8am-5:30pm
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently in a warehouse environment
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications:
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Previous experience in a mail order pharmacy
Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience
Competent in basic math equations, including various forms of measurements, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Intermediate computer and organization skills
Ability to focus on workload and achieve production and quality objectives

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
