    Description An App Designer is accountable for the design of employee apps from a blank canvas to a full-functioning, user-friendly app for clients of various degrees of size and complexity. The App Designer is responsible for all aspects of the app build including interpreting the clients' levels of benefit plans and creating a communication plan within the build of an app. During the creation and ongoing maintenance of a client's app, the App Designer collaborates with internal teams of Digital Strategy, Design, Technology, and Localization. The App Designer's focus is to create custom branded apps for end users that drive client goals. The App Designer role requires a strong benefits knowledge and project management background. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in VMware NSX and AWS networking technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our hybrid network infrastructure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting and resolution of network failures and issues. Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, firewalls and wireless devices. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations. Maintain and update IP/DHCP scopes, DNS, and network documentation, to include Visio diagrams. Design and manage network projects, including implementation of new networks, upgrading existing networks, finding products to fit a specific use case, and providing guidance and expertise for future directions. Perform disaster recovery operations and testing when required. Work with Security team protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures, including upgrades and patching. Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made for improvements. Research, design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Work with WAN link carriers to troubleshoot and resolve complex WAN connectivity issues. Maintain and monitor our VPLS and MPLS networks.
