This entry level Project Scientist I (Environmental Field-Testing Technician) position involves conducting air emissions testing for industrial clients. A candidate must be willing to work outdoors or in industrial environments through a teamwork-based approach as a part of a test crew. The candidate must have the ability to travel on a weekly basis in a company vehicle, visiting customer sites to perform testing projects. Travel is regional & within the state, requiring overnight hotel stay as needed. The environment will include the ability to work with heights on a platform, climbing smokestacks of varying heights (50ft-300ft). A candidate will support the basic aspects of a testing project including equipment preparation, deployment, staging/breakdown, sample collection and recovery. EMR is looking for an experienced Master Mechanic to join our New Orleans team. In this critical role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our heavy and stationary equipment through expert-level preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and metal recycling machinery, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems. What You'll Do Maintain equipment in proper working condition through scheduled preventive maintenance. Diagnose and repair heavy equipment such as material handlers, excavators, front-end loaders, and skid steers. Maintain and service stationary metal recycling equipment, including shredders, shears, balers, conveyors, crushers, and sorting systems. Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, OEM manuals, and technical documentation. Inspect and test machinery to identify and resolve malfunctions. Dismantle and reassemble machinery for major repairs. Install new or repaired parts, machinery, and equipment. Perform welding, fabrication, fueling, and lubrication tasks as required. Ensure all work meets company safety standards, including compliance with lockout/tagout and confined space procedures. Maintain detailed service records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Keep supervisors informed of repair needs, maintenance priorities, and parts or supply requirements. Maintain accountability for all company tools and assigned equipment. Train and mentor new team members. Perform general facility cleanup and assist with other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Experience: Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in heavy equipment and industrial machinery repair. Technical Skills: Strong background in diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Experience with major equipment brands such as Liebherr, CAT, Sennebogen, Volvo, Bobcat, and Fuchs. Proficiency in reading schematics and interpreting OEM service documentation Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Certifications: Diesel Mechanic Certification (required) OSHA or other relevant safety certifications (preferred) Education: High school diploma or GED required. License: Valid driver's license required. Abilities: Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. We are seeking an experienced Mechanic for our state of the art metal recycling yard located in Baton Rouge, LA - Join a global leader in the Metal Recycling Industry! This is a Full Time position opportunity. We have heavy equipment such as material handlers, front end loaders, and excavators that are essential to our operations. We also have conveyor belts. The Mechanic that we are looking for must have flexibility to work on heavy equipment as well as machinery, and maintain equipment through planned and preventative maintenance procedures as directed. This includes fuel and lubrication, inspecting and testing, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling and reassembling, and installing parts. The Mechanic will also be able to work on our facility conveyor belts, and other machinery. We are seeking a very skilled Mechanic with at least 5 years of maintenance experience. Experience in repair of metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful. We would like to see a background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical areas. We are seeking an experienced Mechanic for our state of the art metal recycling yard located on Florida Ave. in New Orleans, LA - Join a global leader in the Metal Recycling Industry! This is a Full Time position opportunity. The Mechanic that we are looking for must have flexibility to work on heavy equipment as well as machinery, and maintain equipment through planned and preventative maintenance procedures as directed. This includes fuel and lubrication, inspecting and testing, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling and reassembling, and installing parts. The Mechanic will also be able to work on our facility conveyor belts, and other machinery. We are seeking a very skilled Mechanic with at least 5 years of maintenance experience. Experience in repair of metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful. We would like to see a background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical areas.
