Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world's first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. Senior Power Electronics Engineer The Senior Power Electronics Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and development of the power electronics of our nuclear-driven high-speed generator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the design of high-voltage and high-speed generator drives, DC-DC converters for high-voltage batteries, and standalone and grid-tied inverters. You'll join the Power Conversion and Electrical Systems team responsible for converting mechanical energy generated from a nuclear reactor to electrical energy to deliver to customers. You will own power electronics design, analysis, simulation, and component selection. You will partner cross-functionally with top industry engineers at Radiant, as well as vendors and partner organizations, including government agencies. Your efforts will be instrumental in bringing the first nuclear microreactor to market. Responsibilities and Duties: Design and develop power electronics for a nuclear power generator. Build detailed schematics, select components, PCBA layout, prototype, and validate hardware. Apply EMI/EMC strategies and underlying physics to engineering problems.
