ENCON Heating company history timeline

1971

1971 - The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) was created, abolishing the State Board of Fisheries and Game, State Park and Forest Commission, and Boating Commission.

1993

1993 - The Environmental Protection Law Enforcement Officer and Conservation Officer job series were consolidated into the Conservation Enforcement Officer job series, expanding the job functions of each to include those of the other.

EnCon Colorado LLC’s girder production facility began in 1993 as a division of the Hydro Conduit Corporation.

1998

1998 - On November 20, James V. Spignesi Jr. became the first Conservation Enforcement Officer in Connecticut's history to give his life in the line of duty.

2002

Encon Commercial was founded in 2002 by commercial real estate professionals with direct experience in the California Office of Foreign Direct Investment and the California Trade and Commerce Agency.

2004

2004 - The Conservation Enforcement Officer title was changed to State Environmental Conservation Police Officer.

EnCon United purchased the operating assets of the prestress operation as the TREX project was winding down in 2004.

2006

Atlanta Structural, with over 50 years in the structural precast industry, constructed a second production facility in Bainbridge, Georgia in 2006.

2007

EnCon Bridge Company expanded into the commercial market, and in 2007 became EnCon Colorado LLC. EnCon Colorado LLC began producing hollow-core panels, stairs, and stair and elevator shafts for buildings.

2011

The Encon Group returns to its independent roots following a management buy-out led by CEO Stuart Moore on 31 October 2011.

2014

June 2014 marks a new era for Nevill Long, with the coming together of Encon Interior Systems and Nevill Long into one new-look Nevill Long brand.
