The ServiceTechnician in our Technology Solutions group specializes in one or more of the following disciplines: audiovisual systems and structured cabling. While expertise in all areas is not required, proficiency in one area is essential. We are committed to providing training in any additional disciplines you may not be familiar with. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, adaptability, and the ability to work across various systems and technologies.
**Compensation Range for this Position:** $32.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience
**General Responsibilities**

+ Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems across multiple disciplines.
+ Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
+ Communicate effectively with the Service Supervisor on job progress, scheduling, and any changes to scope or requirements.
+ Represent Encore Electric professionally when interacting with clients, ensuring clear communication and fostering positive relationships.
+ Be flexible with schedules, shifts, and locations, including participation in the on-call rotation.
+ On-call rotation requires availability 24/7 for a one-week period, every month.
**Discipline-Specific Responsibilities**
**Audiovisual Systems**
+ Install, and troubleshoot AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, and control systems (e.g., QSC, Crestron, Extron, Bi-amp). Some programming preferred but not required.
+ Install and configure conference room systems, including Microsoft Teams rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other related conferencing systems.
+ 3-4 years of AV technician experience is preferred.
**Telecom**
+ Install and terminate telecom cabling, including copper and fiber optics.
+ Perform testing and certification for cabling and connections.
+ Familiarity with telecom-related tools and practices.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a telecom technician is preferred.
**Security Systems**
+ Install and troubleshoot security systems, including access control, IP video, and intrusion detection systems.
+ Perform system testing, commissioning, and verification of functionality.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a security technician is preferred.
**Building Automation Systems (BAS)**
+ Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on automation systems, including HVAC and VAV systems.
+ Install controllers, wiring, and field devices according to project specifications.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a BAS technician is preferred.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Technical expertise in the relevant system(s) of focus.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, one-lines, and specifications.
+ Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
+ Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to climb, lift (up to 50 lbs), stand, and stoop.
+ Vision acuity (near and far, and without color deficiencies).
**Requirements**
+ At least 3-4 years of experience in a specific relevant discipline.
+ Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
+ Willingness to continue learning and developing in the field.

About this Role
FiberTel is looking for a Fiber Splicer Technician for our Portland, OR market.
The Fiber Splicer Technician position is a skilled position and she/he is considered competent and authorized to work in this field. He/she will have the experience and knowledge to perform all the duties of a Splicer. The Fiber Splicer will generally oversee 1 employee and possess the ability to provide on-the-job training to the Splicing Laborer. This position will need to be flexible in their hours, with occasional on-call duties including night and weekend work. The Splicer will frequently communicate with the customer and act in a professional manner.
Pay: $30-40/hr, DOE
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
Install and repair fiber optics.
Splice fiber
Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
Flagging traffic when required
Flexibility to work in multiple locations
Prepare splice locations, termination points, and installation of splice closures
Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment daily
Splice loose tube fiber
Drive and properly use a bucket truck or pull a splicing trailer
Operate splicing equipment
Identify issues with fiber using red light
Construct proper splice cases
Submit daily time cards for crew members
Place a mid-sheath splice
Fill out audit sheets per location (per splice)
Test and troubleshoot fiber using an OTDR
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Update job completion sheet
Pull fiber when needed
Complete cut sheet
Pre-Trip vehicle inspection (daily)
Ability to work at night /various hours.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.
A good driving record is required.
Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. TITLE: ServiceTechnician III JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The ServiceTechnician III has required accreditations including EPA certification and generally has more than 5 years' experience in the field of HVAC service and repair. The ServiceTechnician III position is qualified and skilled in maintaining and servicing commercial grade HVAC equipment, including but not limited to, unitary products up to 50-ton package units, boilers, heat exchangers, control valves, chillers (including retrofitting) without supervision.
A successful ServiceTechnician III is able to work independently while performing full maintenance and service on a wide variety of commercial air-conditioning equipment.
Duties Include the Following:
* Service products and equipment from 1-ton mini splits to 50-ton package units, boilers, chillers, control valves, heat exchangers & evaporative coolers on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
* Uses cutting edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
* Provide all information from each service call to the dispatcher before leaving job site and document work by accurately completing paperwork and maintaining files.
* Expand business by discussing service opportunities with account salespersons.
* Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
* Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime, on-call rotation and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
* Must have a good driving record and possess a valid driver's license and EPA license.
* Ability to frequently lift 30lbs and occasionally lift 50lbs.
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Position Summary

Qualifications
Indirect Supervision.
Hold and retain relevant H/CFC universal license.
Experience with RTU's, Boilers, MAU's, AHU's, Fans, Pumps, Cooling Towers, VAV/FPB's. Automation Systems, Chillers.
Understanding of Hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits and components.
Minimum Physical Requirements and Accountability
Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.

Position Summary
Responsible for servicing HVAC mechanical equipment, performing system diagnostics and repairs, conducting equipment start-ups, and providing advanced technical troubleshooting. Performs inspections and quality control reviews on RK Service work to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability.
Role Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems
* Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in large-scale commercial equipment
* Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and code compliance
* Troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS), controls, and sensors
* Read and interpret commercial blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
* Perform detailed system inspections and identify deficiencies or potential failures
* Complete quality control inspections on completed service work to ensure company standards are met
* Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime for commercial clients
* Accurately document service activities, findings, and repair recommendations
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes
* Communicate technical information clearly with facility managers, engineers, and project teams
Qualifications

* Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects
