Position Overview
The Neurologist will provide comprehensive outpatient neurological care focused on evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of general neurological conditions. The role is well-supported operationally and clinically, with consistent staffing, defined schedules, and mission-aligned leadership. As the service continues to expand access to neurological care, this provider will meaningfully contribute to program development and continuity of patient services.
Primary Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities
Perform detailed neurological evaluations, examinations, and follow-up visits for established and new patients.
Order and interpret appropriate testing, including EEG, EMG/NCS, laboratory studies, and imaging.
Manage chronic neurological conditions such as migraines, seizure disorders, neuropathy, neurovascular diseases, and chronic neurologic illnesses common among Veterans.
Provide patient counseling, education, and shared decision-making regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and medication management.
Perform neurologic procedures as credentialed (examples include Botox injections, lumbar puncture, EMG/NCS, EEG interpretation).
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including internal medicine, pain management, behavioral health, and rehabilitation services.
Accurately document care using VA electronic health systems (training provided).
Participate in clinic process optimization and contribute to quality-focused initiatives.
Work Environment & Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Shared call rotation for inpatient consults and urgent procedures, including nights and weekends as scheduled
Collaborative support from nursing and administrative personnel

$280,000-$315,000 salary

The Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
Evaluate patients' neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary.
Educate patients on the quality of life benefits of routine chiropractic care. Provide a recommended course of treatment.
Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated.
Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken, when medically necessary.

**Medical monitoring (as applicable)**
+ Answering day to day medical and scientific questions, provide daily medical support to Parexel staff or site (investigator/study coordinator), as needed
+ Review and sign off adverse events report for accuracy and clinical importance, relationship to the study drug as well as for severity and seriousness; provide sponsors with periodic experience reports summarizing adverse events as required by the sponsor or authorities

+ Provide medical safety expertise to client per request

+ Contribute to Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management planning for designated products by preparation of safety surveillance strategy, and highlighting and tracking potential issues
+ Support the preparation and maintenance of Risk Management Plans
+ Prepare and review periodic safety reports (PBRER/PSUR, DSUR, European union renewal, HHE and other Annual Safety/addendum reports) in accordance with regulatory requirements and SOPs

Responsibilities:
* Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
* Evaluate patients' neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
* Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary.
* Educate patients on the quality of life benefits of routine chiropractic care. Provide a recommended course of treatment.
* Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
* Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated.
* Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken, when medically necessary.
* Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
