3. Adjust and manipulate the spinal column and other extremities to align, or correct abnormalities caused by neurologic and kinetic articular dysfunction.
4. Decrease physical interference to the nervous system, as it may cause pain; diminish normal function, or lower disease resistance.
5. Conduct tests, including evaluating a patient's posture.
6. Develop an individualized plan of care for each patient.
7. Analyze the patient's posture, spine, and reflexes.
8. Conduct tests including evaluating a patient's posture and ordering x-rays.
9. Provide neuromusculoskeletal therapy.
10. Provide additional treatments, such as applying heat or cold to a patient's injured areas.
11. Advise patients on health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep habits.
12. Refer patients to other health care professionals, as needed.
13. Provide education to patients and family members.
14. Maintain accurate and complete patient health records to assure confidentiality and compliance with health care regulations.
