The successful candidate will have completed a residency in Neurology and a UCNS accredited fellowship in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry. Role at the Dementia Center and faculty rank at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine are commensurate with experience. The clinical focus is on patients at risk for dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and dementia. The Center seeks candidates with interest in outcomes research, translational research, clinical trials, and teaching of medical & graduate students & residents. The Center espouses an interprofessional approach in which geriatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, neuro- & health psychologists, social workers & rehab therapists who are cognizant of health care disparities provide patient -centered care, accurate diagnoses, state-of- the-art treatment, opportunities for clinical trial participation, and to maximize community living & prevent caregiver burn-out. We are a site in the CMS GUIDE program, an alternate payment model to provide comprehensive dementia care to patients and caregivers living in the community and help improve outcomes like ED visits, hospitalizations and long term placement.
