Key Responsibilities
Perform a full scope of insurance-based OMS procedures, including extractions, pathology, infections, trauma, and orthognathic surgery.
Evaluate patients, interpret imaging, and develop medically necessary treatment plans.
Collaborate with referring dentists and medical providers to coordinate care.
Conduct in-office procedures with local anesthesia, IV sedation, or general anesthesia (as credentialed).
Ensure accurate documentation for insurance, medical necessity, and authorizations.
Maintain compliance with all clinical quality, safety, OSHA, HIPAA, and anesthesia standards.
Communicate clearly with patients about treatment, expectations, and post-operative care.
Qualifications
DDS/DMD with OMS residency; board-certified or eligible.
Strong communicator and team collaborator.
Licensed or eligible in Florida; relocation to Lakeland preferred.

Highlights/Responsibilities:
Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for labor and delivery, triage, obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, and postpartum care.
Full-time physicians enjoy a flexible monthly schedule of seven 24/hour shifts.
Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on-call.
Manage unassigned OB patients and support private-practice physicians as needed.
Perform deliveries, cesarean sections, and other emergent gynecologic surgeries.

Qualifications:

Areas throughout the new hospital will reflect the collaborative spirit between the two organizations. Experts from both Orlando Health and Watson Clinic have been heavily involved in the overall planning of the project, including design of the facility, selection of next-generation technologies, and development of a comprehensive scope of specialized programs and services, with key programs to include cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, obstetrics, surgery and surgical oncology.
This state-of-the-art facility will feature more than 300 inpatient beds, 69 emergency and observation beds, 11 operating rooms, four cardiac and interventional suites, and 18 beds in an intensive care unit that will grow to 36 at full build-out. The hospital will support a wide offering of surgical and procedural services across multiple specialties. A robust cardiovascular program will offer diagnostic cardiology services upon opening, with the addition of PCI care soon after and further progressing to include structural heart disease and advanced electrophysiology (EP) programs. With a strong neurology focus on stroke and spine care, the hospital is expected to advance to a primary stroke center soon after opening with comprehensive stroke center to follow. A full obstetrical unit also will be highlighted on opening day with eight labor and delivery rooms, two designated C-section operating rooms and more than 25 postpartum rooms. A 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit will debut shortly after the hospital opens.

Duties and Responsibilities:
24-hour shift (in-house) working 7-8 shifts per month (90 shifts total per year).
OB Hospitalist group provides coverage to SMH-Sarasota and SMH-Venice, but physicians only cover one hospital at a time.
SMH-Sarasota has 2 OB Hospitalists and one CNM working at all times.
SMH-Venice has one OB Hospitalist in-house for their shift.
Physician will perform deliveries including C-Sections and Gynecologic surgeries/procedures and consults. They will evaluate and manage high-risk obstetrics patients.
Group has 5 midwives that cover the inpatient unit, the OB ECC and assist the OB Hospitalists as needed.
Full-time OB Hospitalists must be willing to work weekends and holidays as part of the shift requirement.
Highlights:
SMH-Venice is a212-bed hospital with 10 birthing suites and a Level 1 Nursery.
SMH-Sarasota has a Level III NICU, 33 private rooms and an 8-bed OB Emergency Care Center. The system delivers over 4,500 babies a year and is the only hospital in Sarasota County with a NICU.
The Mother Baby unit holds 28 beds and Labor & Delivery has 14 spacious suites, 3 C-section Operating Rooms and a 4-bed recovery area.
Hospital has Neonatologists on site providing 24/7 coverage. Neonatologists are employed by Johns Hopkins/All Childrens Hospital.
First Physicians Group also employs 3 MFMs who provide coverage 24/7.
The system has 6 da Vinci Robots.
SMH was designated as a Baby-Friendly Hospital in 2017 and successfully re-designated in 2023.
We achieved Level III Maternal Care Verification from the Joint Commission in collaboration with the American College of Obstetrics in 2023 for providing advanced care to low and moderate-risk pregnancies, as well as to high-risk patients, including subspecialty care for more complex maternal medical conditions, obstetric complications and fetal conditions.
Required Qualifications:
Board-Certified OB/GYN is required with 3+ years of experience.
Licensed in Florida and holds a current DEA Certificate.

Job Purpose
An provides endodontic treatment, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform endodontic treatment using rotary and/or hand instruments, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures.
· Examine patients to determine the nature of the condition affecting the patient, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments and other diagnostic procedures.
· Supervise office staff, including hygienists, dental assistants, receptionists and other office staff.
· Adheres to safety protocols and processes including but not limited to ensuring protective equipment is utilized and OSHA/Bloodborne pathogen requirements are followed.
· Participate in morning huddles, chart reviews and routine office meetings.
· All other duties and responsibilities allowed under applicable state laws and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Commitment to quality patient care and enjoy educating patients on dental health.
Effective communication skills; demonstrates professional and courteous demeanor with patients.
Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)
DDS or DMD degree, licensed in state in which practicing or have the ability to obtain licensure upon graduation.
Completion of an endodontic residency program.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
