Bill is president and CEO of Synergex International Corporation, specialists in cross-platform application development tools. He has global management consulting experience helping clients in a wide range of industries reduce their software investment and increase profitability. Bill has helped businesses grow and succeed in varied market conditions. Bill provides strategy and direction in all functional areas of Synergex, including flagship product Synergy/DE, which has evolved over 20 years from a cross-platform business language to an extensive suite of Object-oriented development tools that rival any popular toolset today, and the recently launched KitaroDB, a version of Synergy/DE’s powerful database system now being offered to Visual Studio developers. Bill is a member of the Synergex Board of Directors and Executive Management Committee. He was selected for Leadership Sacramento, where he worked to improve business and the regional community. Recently he honed his skills at the Stanford Executive Institute for high-tech management. Outside of the technology realm, you’ll find Bill leading the charge through the rapids in whitewater expeditions or creating visually compelling photos of his family and life adventures.

I have led B-to-B software businesses (up to $1B in revenue) over the past 10 years with a focus on improving the performance of IT infrastructure, networks and applications to deliver a better end-user experience. I am known for driving both top- and bottom-line growth, and for bringing to bear a unique combination of strategic acumen, leadership abilities, and technical skills. The ability to quickly discern what is important and critical versus tangential is the foundation of my success as a progressive-thinking problem-solver. I thrive on driving transformational change and inspiring innovation to ensure emerging and existing companies are poised to realize sustainable, profitable growth. As senior vice president and general manager with Riverbed Technology, I led the turnaround of an underperforming business unit, transforming double digit declines into double digit growth. I restructured the business as we took Riverbed private, overhauled the product portfolio, and executed strategic acquisitions to enhance the company’s competitive position. As a result of our success, I led and recently completed the creation of Aternity LLC, a carve-out from Riverbed. As Aternity’s chief technology officer, I integrated selected hyper-growth technologies into a single SaaS solution to help power triple digit growth. Businesses require great agility to identify and take advantage of opportunities that emerge from changing business needs; I have a history of transforming businesses and enabling them to perform with both speed and agility.
