**What You'll Do**

As an Energy Manager, you'll be part of our Global Operations team working remote. In close collaboration with the Business, Corporate EHS and GSM teams, the primary objective of the Global Ops Energy Manager, through Energy reduction efforts, is to achieve our 2025 Energy & Carbon Emission. You'll get to:

+ Define, develop, implement, and deliver an effective Carbon & Energy Management Plan, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure successful outcomes.

+ Be responsible for promoting site and business level awareness of the Carbon & Energy Management Plan.

+ Be responsible for the ECOSMART (Energy) Project assessment process.

+ Work with each site to identify ECOSMART project opportunities i.e. monitoring energy consumption and usage patterns and identifying areas where energy is wasted or used inefficiently. Following this assessment process, help design and implement plans for optimising energy use.

+ Co-Lead the Energy & Carbon Focus Group and deployment plans

+ Support the Corporate EHS team with the Water and Waste focus groups and development plans

+ Be responsible for the continued rollout and administration of the Manufacture 2030 BEE (or equivalent) platform across Global Ops. Maintaining relevant records and documentation relating to energy consumption and energy management, so that the business can track developments and make comparisons in the future.

+ Develop and coordinate an energy management committee, within the global operations business.

+ Commission and deliver or supervise energy training programmes

+ Report on energy consumption and costs, associated transmission and distribution costs, budget variances, costs of exceptions, and savings achieved.

+ Assist with the preparation of BU and site level Energy and future ECOSMART budgets.

+ Increase organisational awareness of the importance of reducing carbon emissions, using renewable sources of energy and minimising wastage.

+ Keep up to date on the latest regulations and Best Available Technology, reporting all compliance risk and opportunities back to the Corporate EHS and BU leadership teams

+ Work in close consultation with key internal stakeholders (EHS, GSM, Facilities, Maintenance.) ensuring that energy efficiency factors are incorporated into all development planning, MOC and other operational activities.

+ Commission and supervise specialist consultants to conduct energy audits, surveys, performance tests and investigations in coordination with GSM, where necessary.

+ Participate in external energy benchmarking groups

+ Manage National & International travel plans as required to achieve the above. Travel is not expected to exceed 30% of role.

* Keep current with applicable codes, laws and requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and effective management of risk and liability.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Ensure Contractor operations adhere to the goals and policies of the Environmental Management System, the Region's energy program, and other specified Sustainability requirements affecting the contract
* Develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development and examine the contract activities to establish where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and energy policy
* Develop, implement and monitor energy efficiency strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable maintenance practices
* Review standard operating procedures, preventive maintenance procedures, and product ordering process in order to implement energy efficient best maintenance practices
* Oversee the EMS and be a member of the QMS
* Ensure Contractor and subcontractor activities, training, and recordkeeping is in compliance with installation, NAVFAC, state, federal, and local regulations and supports the Navy's goals in the areas of Environmental Compliance and Energy Management
* Ensure all training, documents, records, permits, and other data required by state, federal, local regulations, and the contract are maintained correct, complete, and up-to-date
* Attend Installation Environmental Office and Navy Energy management meetings pertaining to environmental protection and compliance and energy management related matters
* Fully knowledgeable of all safety, environmental, and energy requirements associated with the work they perform
* Become familiar with and obey all applicable activity regulations, directives and instructions, including fire, traffic, safety and security regulations
* Attend meetings, as required by the contract
* Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

* Bachelor of Science Degree
* AEE Certified Energy Manager or obtain this certification within one year of contract start
* Minimum two years' experience with environmental procedures similar to those of the contract
* Quality Manager must have fulfilled the pre-requisite training and experiences before being hired as the Quality Manager: Quality Manager shall have at least five years of experience in preparing and enforcing QMS programs on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity

Position Summary

The Corporate Energy Manager will oversee the energy supply contracting process for PCC's US-based plants. The position will work directly with PCC's outside energy consultant and PCC operations to establish and maintain energy supply contracts (primarily natural gas and electricity) across a diverse group of manufacturing plants. The successful candidate will utilize their knowledge of the wholesale energy markets, regional supply/pricing dynamics, and regulatory frameworks to ensure operations manage short-term and long-term economic risk. This position will partner with key stakeholders across the business to identify and implement energy savings opportunities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Oversee administration of US energy programs and associated risk management activities across a decentralized business structure
* Manage energy supply contracting process, with assistance from outside consultants and legal resources to ensure favorable pricing structures / terms and conditions across sites
* Identify opportunities to minimize operational and financial risk associated with the energy supply portfolio and communicate those opportunities across the business
* Implement corporate policy regarding appropriate levels of hedge coverage and ensure consistent compliance
* Develop and deliver clear reporting for key stakeholders, including historical and forecasted consumption, hedge coverage and financial impact associated with future market variability
* Partner with manufacturing facilities to identify and execute energy reduction projects including metering and leak identification
* Source and promote renewable energy and other sustainable on-site generation projects

Experience and Education:

**JOB SUMMARY**

The purpose of this position is to manage and support the implementation of energy and sustainability initiatives for a large industrial client with a portfolio of 700+ properties in North America.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Ensures that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout a client portfolio.

Responsible for identifying and implementing cost saving strategies and budgeting for utilities within an account.

Coordinates energy procurement, renewable energy purchasing and implementation of new technologies with the global energy and sustainability platform.

Develops and presents monthly energy and sustainability status and variance reports. Monitors and reports on energy use, water use, waste diversion rates and spending trends.

Engages FM team and the global energy and sustainability team to identify and develop energy projects. Responsible for formalizing the scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis and obtaining project approval.

Understands and can calculate building energy consumption profiles. Has a detailed knowledge of building systems, industrial processes, energy and water efficiency projects and industry standards for measurement & verification of energy savings. Provides energy and sustainability related inputs to preventative maintenance and engineering teams as directed. Conducts energy audits and develops energy proposals for the sites under management

Strong people and communication skills required. The candidate should be able to work with the client, FM leadership and facility operations team members to communicate value, progress and mentor as needed.

Collaborates with the global CBRE platform on the implementation and management of energy and sustainability projects in a timely and accurate fashion.
