Stefaan Sercu is President and CEO ENGIE Generation North America LLC and the Chief IT Officer of ENGIE North America. His responsibilities include all operational and management activities surrounding the Company’s power generation facilities and IT services for the entire North American business unit. Employed by the Group for the last 20 years, Stefaan most recently served as President and CEO of GDF SUEZ Energy Marketing NA, Inc. (now ENGIE Energy Marketing NA, Inc.), the North American business unit performing all market-facing commercial activities of the Company’s power generation fleet, including portfolio management and trading. Prior to that role, Stefaan served in various other positions within North America, with responsibilities encompassing price forecasting, valuing proposed business development projects, hedging, and commodity risk management. Stefaan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Mons Hainaut, Belgium, and a master’s degree in marketing, with high honors, from KU Leuven, Belgium.

Demonstrated expertise and a proven track record of successfully building mature cyber & information security programs that included the establishment of information security policies and procedures, risk management life-cycle development and implementation, and the assurance of critical business systems availability, integrity, and confidentiality.
