The Engineering Development Technician reports to the Engineering Manager for the Combustion Test Facility and focuses on performing work of a broad scope and complexity that requires the ability to interpret, select, and apply engineering principles and practices in a test lab environment.

What you will be doing
Works assigned tasks to meet schedule and may coordinate details with other departments. Performs routine functions that require application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Designs, supports, and tests test systems and equipment. Ensures designs meet testability and reliability criteria. May provide repair and maintenance of test systems.



Qualifications


What we are looking for
Strong mechanical and electrical background in testing and troubleshooting Engineering knowledge with a strong understanding of component function and testing. Effective written/verbal communication skills, presentation skills and technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.). Problem solving and troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills. Knowledge of accuracy analyses, instrumentation calibration theory and tolerance stack-ups. Competent in the use of PCs and associated software. Effective time management. Ability to effectively work in a team environment and maintain good customer focus and lead small teams. Solid knowledge of physical systems and the physics thereof. Limited exposure to analytic, modeling, and/or design software/tools as appropriate. Knowledge of appropriate internal information management system (i.e.. ERP, MRP, PLC and Document Storage system, etc.) applications. Lab VIEW knowledge. Associate degree in Technical/Science or International equivalent required. Prefer a candidate with 5 or more years of experience in a lab environment.

**Description**

The Algorithms organization in Apple's Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for a skilled 3D Geometry ML Engineer with a strong background in computer graphics and computer vision, with a passion to make world-class software. In this role, you will perform research and development work to design, implement, benchmark, and optimize algorithms for ambitious real-world problems in the domain of face and body reconstruction. You will work with teams supplying you training data and employing your algorithms in exciting end-user applications.

**Education & Experience**

BS, MS or PhD in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, computer engineering or 2+ years of relevant industry experience with a track record of successful projects
