As Advanced Operator, you will: Operate assigned machining equipment to safely produce the appropriate number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. Measure parts using common measuring tools and appropriate process documentation. Deliver a correct part within appropriate print or documented standards. Perform operator level maintenance on assigned equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime. Verify stock at all points in the process to ensure correct material, work in process and work processes. Assist in resolving machining process, maintenance, and programming issues. Correctly setup jobs in a safe and timely manner. This includes but is not limited to determining tooling requirements and control settings, loading control media, or retrieving instructions, set machine controls to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow. Use SMED and Poka Yoke practices. Other duties as assigned. Common Tasks: Achieve measurable results. Satisfy the internal customer. Execute the quality system requirements. Train other associates Complete all tasks in a safe manner complying with all organization safety policies, practices, and procedures. Perform all work onsite at the EPC facility. Regular attendance is required. Demonstrate initiative. Take action upon identifying any situation outside EPC standards. Maintain process vision in area and with process flow. Identify and change the course of events in advance to prevent safety, quality, delivery, and process issues. Execute workstation and area 5S tasks. Present a good, professional example to the team. Strive to be the better person. Comply with all EPC policy, procedure, and practice. Skills/Experience for an ideal Advanced Operator candidate include: High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of prior experience in the essential duties listed above. Specific knowledge of CNC programming, machine setup and process trouble shooting techniques. Working knowledge of measurement and measuring tools. Blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of GD&T standards. Verbal and written communication skills to internal communication standards. Good software skills, including experience with MS Office products. Work Environment: Machining environment. Work includes regular lifting, stooping, bending, reaching or grasping. As Mechanical Engineer, you will: Develop, implement, and optimize CNC machining processes to improve throughput, accuracy, and repeatability. Provide engineering support for grinding processes, including setup, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Design and modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing needs. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and equipment issues. Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Support new product launches by developing process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical issues and improve process reliability. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency improvements. Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and validation. Provide technical training and mentorship to operators and technicians on CNC and grinding processes. As an ideal candidate for Mechanical Engineer, you would: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering role. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong background in CNC machining (programming, setup, optimization, and troubleshooting). Grinding process experience is a significant plus. Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
