The purpose of this position is to drive product market penetration by identifying the best engineering solutions to customers' needs. In this position, you will need in-depth understanding of the product, installation, alarms, and troubleshooting. Extensive travel may be required depending on the project for onsite surveys, commissioning, and other needs. Between projects, priority will be creating and maintaining existing technical documentation such as installation manuals, drawings, and service memos.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Onsite Support
Conduct site surveys and onsite commissioning/startup for installs
Supervise and coach contractor's field installation and commissioning
Perform diagnosis of issues, alarms, component failures, and potential software issues in HVAC systems
Provide guidance for contractors during installation and integration, such as electrical, piping, ducting, and remote monitoring integration
Lead field trials for new product introduction and provide onsite supervision and where required including software upgrade
Review project closeout package and signoff on HVAC projects for factory warranty
Respond to emergencies when required
Product Documentation and Support
Create and maintain existing documentation such as product installation manuals, drawings, service memo
Review project submittals, floorplans, shop drawings, and site-survey information
Research and suggest options on HVAC product and installation and integration methods
Conduct product introduction and training for end-users
Report field observation for engineering teams to continuous product improvement
Identify opportunities, customer requirements, and customer pain points. Use this information to develop input for future product development
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
4-year degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or similar
3+ years' experience with HVAC systems
Prior understanding electrical and mechanical codes is a plus
Skills:
Strength of personality and character to lead training sessions
Strong organizational skills and communication abilities
Experience working with MS OFFICE (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point)
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Ability to for significant travel - up to 50%

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and closure of a wide range of environmental, geotechnical, and civil engineering projects. Our Geotechnical Group focuses on serving projects for our local municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients. These projects span a multitude of geotechnical support roles, from geotechnical exploration to geotechnical support during construction.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
Licensed Professional Engineering (PE) in South Carolina or ability to obtain reciprocity where firm operates.
Minimum 5-12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
Knowledge of geosynthetics

Conduct technical analyses, calculations, and design for various engineering projects, including but not limited to site development, foundation design, retaining walls, earthwork, and pavements.
