Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians

Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training
Prior experience of at least two years experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or other appropriate related experience
Minimum of two years experience in the repair of radiology equipment and prior biomedical experience
Should possess specialized knowledge in several specialized modalities such as radiology, ultrasound, etc
Prefer certification (CRES) in these different modalities
Good communication and strong customer service skills
Ability and willingness to serve "on-call" duty as required
Must be willing to serve as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s)

Quality and installation of duct work, insulation, framing, air sealing, ventilation, etc.
Utilization of equipment to test system performance such as infiltration & Blower Door Testing, Ventilation Testing, Duct Leakage Testing, and Building Air Flow & Pressure Testing
Adjustment of system settings to either meet design or manufacturer specifications
Actively develop relationships with builders and code officials through effective and professional communication
Prepare an electronic written report of audit findings
Complete any necessary paperwork required for internal reporting
Maintain equipment in accordance with company policy and manufacturer's specifications
Complete all other assigned third-party inspections, as needed, with the designated geographical area
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree or Vocational Certificate in the Skilled Trades Industry is required
HERS Rater, Energy Star, Green Building, ACCA 310 HVAC Grading, IECC, HVAC EPA, BPI, and LEED Certifications are a plus!

**Essential Responsibilities:**
Responsible for leading and coordinating all technical aspects of the substations and balance of plant for large and complex substation projects. The Sr. Engineer must lead the team providing clear direction, expectations, and reviews to ensure goals are met or exceeded. + Interface with internal and external team members such as the Project Engineering Director, discipline PEM's, Designers, CAD Operators, Project Managers, and support organizations.
+ Responsible for the power single line drawing, plan and elevation drawings, general substation arrangement and layout, construction details, and layouts for high voltage bus, cable, high voltage equipment, conduit, cable, and wiring, auxiliary power, grounding, and control buildings.
+ Must oversee if not self-perform related studies and calculations as well as development of the bills of material.
+ Manage a combined project BOM & MDL from multiple sources, writing and/or reviewing High Voltage equipment technical specifications, supporting sourcing for vendor quotations and reviews
+ Single point of contact for technical issues for the customer and project manager.
+ The Sr. Engineer is responsible for technical change control and risk management.
+ Accountable with the PED for the performance of engineering subcontractors. This includes work scope definition, hours used, change management, quality control, schedule definition & adherence, and customer interface.
+ Accountable for meeting customer engineering CTQ's
+ Support proposals and tenders for HVDC or substation projects including estimating man hours and the application of major equipment.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE strongly preferred)
+ Professional Engineering license in the United States (or demonstrating his/her plan to get PE license within a certain period) and willing to review and seal your work and the work of others under your supervision.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities and renewable energy power plants and projects experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in substation type applications, including primary (outdoor) substation design and required studies.
+ Able and willing to travel 20% including international and comply with GE travel guidelines.
**Desired Characteristics:**
+ In depth experience applying High Voltage substation North American standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI standards and codes such as the NEC and the NESC.), local Grid Codes, and related equipment (safety, application, sizing and integration). Process Engineers at Armstrong World Industries provide technical expertise to our plant locations. As a member of a cross-disciplinary engineering team, you will participate in or lead team efforts involving several technical and manufacturing disciplines. You will be accountable for raw material management, process control, product flow, product quality, process troubleshooting, environmental compliance, implementation of new products and process optimization.
This training program is a 4-6-month development program located at our headquarters in Lancaster, PA. In training, you will be working at our headquarters and our local manufacturing plant in Marietta, PA. Once you have completed the training you will be placed into a permanent process engineer role at one of our plants which could be in Marietta, PA; Hillard, OH; Macon, GA or Pensacola, FL.

Generate 3D CAD models and detailed drawings to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.
Support new product introductions through concept design, feasibility studies, and design validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design, quality, and process challenges.
Manage tooling and design projects from concept through implementation, including cost estimates and sourcing coordination.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy and repeatability in manufactured components.
Conduct root cause analysis and apply problem-solving tools such as 8D, fishbone, and statistical analysis.
Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with internal quality management systems (QMS).
Participate in design and process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Promote workplace organization, safety, and adherence to 5S standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2 or more years of experience in mechanical design, tooling, or process engineering.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, metal forming, and tool and die design principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T standards.
Experience with inspection tools, measurement systems, and quality documentation.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, process improvement, and cost estimation.
High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in design documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience designing production tooling such as stamping dies, welding fixtures, and inspection gauges.
Knowledge of PFMEA, process validation, and quality system requirements.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs.
Familiarity with procurement and vendor coordination for custom tooling and components.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
