What you will do
The Capital Equipment Engineer, is responsible for technical support, including specification, development, implementation, and assurance of a qualified state for packaging equipment. Aligns packaging equipment requirements with the site's needs, ensuring customer service, and quality/compliance goals. Responsible for project's capital plan and equipment asset management, and reliability. Manages capital appropriation approval for assigned projects and spending management. Leads cross functional teams that includes equipment, automation, and packaging engineers to deliver key projects driving business results in alignment with the site goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead equipment installation, qualification, validation and start up for assigned projects, and communicate potential issues and give clear direction to site teams to ensure successful project execution.
Plan and execute equipment and validations strategies aligned to the consumer asset management strategies to assigned areas within the company. Responsibilities include understanding existing limitations and developing technical solutions to eliminate waste.
Plan and execute equipment strategies by providing engineering solutions, technical advice, and assistance to Packaging and other departments as required.
Serve as an area owner and provide inputs for the long-range financial plan (LRFP) and the integration with the 5 year asset replacement plan. Help to manage area strategies and roadmap including but not limiting reliability and automation strategies integration.
Plan and execute multiple and/or major equipment and validation projects concerned with life cycle management initiatives and develop risk mitigation strategies to deliver project commitments.
Lead, develop, write, and gain cross functional alignment of required documentation for equipment systems qualifications and/or validations.
Develop and execute plans related to equipment that maintain high levels of Operational Equipment Efficiency (OEE) to assigned areas. Drives value through identifying and executing multi-site projects as needed by improving compliance, quality, efficiency, and cost.
Support and/or lead the development and assessment of the following types of information to support life cycle management initiatives, including but not limited to: design requirements, definition of the scope of change, packaging equipment solution proposals, prior knowledge and knowledge gap assessments, risk assessments, test plans, and test results analysis and conclusions
Develop, write, get cross-functional alignment, and route for approval qualification documentation (Examples: User Requirement Specifications, System Test Matrix, Intallation and Operational Qualification, reports, Project Qualification Plan, etc.)
Accountable for assigned project capital plan, monthly and quarterly expenditures and cashflow forecast, contingencies, and scope management.
Manage projects using Project Management tools as project timeline, kickoff meetings, risk and mitigation logs, issue and action logs, decisions log, change logs and stabilization plan between others as applicable.
Understand and improve assigned processes and various equipment technologies across multiple locations simultaneously. This person will work with and benchmark with sites to provide the best-in-class processes to the company.

The Powertrain Application Engineer performs testing on engines and vehicles to validate new Fiat Powertrain Engine applications and provides technical advice to the brand team to develop and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customer's needs. This is a salary-exempt position.
Internal candidates MUST notify their HR Department before applying. Position will temporarily be located in our Westchester, IL office until our new Burr Ridge, Illinois testing lab facility is ready.
Our flexible work arrangements policy requires employees to work in the office 12 days per month.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform vehicle testing per application sign-off documents. Complete testing reports and sign-off documents in a timely manner.
Participate with functional groups and engineers in maintaining application and certification requirements in support of product launch milestones.
Develop, evaluate, and review integration and installation procedures and standards to ensure that work is of a consistently high quality.
Evaluate project proposals to ensure they are technically accurate, consistent with the organization's quality and product standards, and aligned with the organization's overall strategy for its products and services.
Liaise with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure that products are modified, configured, and installed according to customer needs.
Prepare simple technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Coordinate testing activities with the customer and supporting team members as necessary.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design components for simple to moderately complex extrusion systems
Perform design analysis on extrusion systems to ensure performance (i.e.: CFD for plastics, FEA, etc.)
Evaluate existing extrusion systems for optimization of durability, performance, and cost
Consult with Capital Engineers to create requirements and specifications for extrusion equipment, coordinate its prototype testing, and support its installation

Highly skilled in mechanical design using software for solid modeling, FEA, and CFD (e.g.: Ansys Polyflow)

A DBS Consultant will support the marketing and launch of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery solutions in close collaboration with the regional sales organization providing outstanding clinical and technical support and aiming for state-of-the-art clinical workflow implementation.
As the regional Functional Neurosurgery subject matter expert (SME), you will
* Act as a Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery Portfolio expert, developing deep scientific knowledge in the field of deep brain stimulation, epilepsy and related clinical workflows.
* Lead sales demonstrations of Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery software and platform portfolio.
* Provide on-site consulting, guidance and assistance to physicians and OR personnel by evaluating options and problem-solving before and during surgery, in order to maximize Brainlab Portfolio usage.
* Educate/train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, Radiology, Biomedical and Information Technologies staff, on the use of Brainlab products and services related to Functional Neurosurgery.

* Develop and conduct training programs for the sales team on assigned products.
* Keep abreast of developments regarding Brainlab and competitive Image Guided Surgery (IGS) products and services in the Functional Neurosurgery area, via ongoing training and individual research and analysis.
* Provide ongoing feedback to Functional Neurosurgery Product Management on clinical and quality improvements for Brainlab solutions.
* Travel - up to 75%.
Being responsible for Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery solutions, and DBS specifically, adoption in your geographical area of competence, you will
* Work closely with Brainlab Area Account Managers (AAMs) on account targeting strategy to maximize direct revenue and penetration of Functional Neurosurgery software and platform solutions.
* Collaborate with partner companies representatives on account strategy in relation to the DBS portfolio offering and on introduction of the state-of-the-art workflow.
* Support the utilization of DBS Image Guided Programming (IGP).
* Act as primary Functional Neurosurgery customer liaison, maintaining contact with customer, assessing satisfaction and product usage levels, and working to increase value via the sale of the state of the art portfolio.
