As a member of our Quality Assurance team, your goal is to ensure that our applications work as they should and meet customers' needs. To accomplish this, you'll join one of our high-performing Quality Assurance teams. You'll draw on your testing knowledge and creativity to automate test capabilities and design test and maintenance procedures. You'll also tap our existing test frameworks to tackle specific problems. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


+ BS/BA degree or equivalent experience


+ Proven ability to write automated tests


+ Detailed understanding of common defect and data management tools


+ Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, and test automation strategies


+ Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals


+ Proficiency in a business function and some understanding of the broader business context

PerkinElmer’s in vivo imaging group does incredibly important work supporting research across disease models for cancer & cardiopulmonary, metabolic, and infectious disease. The R&D team is an interdisciplinary group that develops market leading products, instrumentation, software, and reagents that drive innovation. The technology is amazing – 2D & 3D reconstruction and visualization of luminescence, fluorescence, x-ray & ultrasound. The labs are located in Hopkinton MA at the junction of 90 & 495.

Key Responsibilities :
Participate in the design, development, testing, and delivery of a new generation of in vivo imaging instrument software. Work closely with the Software Manager to evolve and execute the team’s overall test strategy, including identifying and implementing process improvements to advance the team’s SQA approach. Increase the level of automation in the team’s build-and-test process. Optimize the SQA work of the team by helping to guide and strategize day-to-day tasks. Work with stakeholders to align testing with customer needs. Development of test cases, scenarios, plans and reporting in an Agile development environment. Develop, run, and report on the results of automated UI tests. Monitor unit test results from nightly builds. Write up detailed reproducible bug reports and work with developers towards bug resolution. Follow the Software Development Life Cycle from design through implementation. Work as part of team in an Agile Development Process.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree and eight years software quality assurance experience.

Preferred Qualifications :
Twelve or more years experience in SQA work for professional software, with leadership and collaboration experience. Experience with bug tracking software. Ability to work with UI test automation tools. Ability to work with test case management software. Experience in an Agile Scrum team. Experience with testing in a Microsoft C# .NET environment. Able to solve problems as an individual and within a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Motivated, energetic, and results-driven, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Experience with Azure DevOps and Test Manager. Experience with Squish for test automation. Hands-on experience with instruments or imaging technology. Experience with defining SQA processes or leadership.
