We are looking for a Structures Project Engineer interested in heavy civil construction with 2 to 5 years' experience to join the team on our Tim Bell Road Bridge Replacement Project in Stanislaus County. Myers and Sons has been contracted for a structural project to remove and reconstruct the existing Tim Bell Road Bridge over Dry Creek. The project consists of replacing the existing historical bridge with a combination of a flat slab bridge and parabolic box girder. Work includes large diameter CIDH pile, falsework, trestle and bridge post tensioning. The project is expected to be completed over the course of two seasons. We are looking for a person that can develop a deep understanding of the project documents, including the contract with the owner, subcontracts, cost reports, CPM schedules, specifications, project deliverable documents, correspondence, billings, and related project controls items. This person should feel comfortable navigating and working within accounting and project documentation software such as Vista and be detailed oriented. In addition to office tasks, this person will work closely with the project superintendent to develop and execute work plans and perform construction layout using AutoCAD and Lecia surveying equipment. Here, they develop a working knowledge of technical mathematics and power distribution. Students learn to solve basic equations using phasors, vector notations and basic trigonometry and analyze DC and AC circuits. They also learn how to operate electrical equipment using controllers, and how to properly test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, motors and other related electrical equipment. From there, MMNs move on to Naval Nuclear Power School (NNPS), also in Charleston, SC. Here they learn theory and practical application of nuclear physics and reactor engineering. The six-month course provides a comprehensive understanding of a pressurized-water Naval nuclear power plant, including reactor core nuclear principles, heat transfer and fluid systems, plant chemistry and materials, mechanical and electrical systems, and radiological control. Following NNPS, MMNs begin prototype training in their rating specialty at one of two Nuclear Power Training Units (NPTUs) - located in Charleston, SC, and Ballston Spa, NY. This six-month course teaches the fundamentals of a Naval nuclear power plant and the interrelationship of its mechanical, electrical, and reactor subsystems. Systems Test Engineer Lead shall be responsible for the evaluation of systems and or features, as well as developing and maintaining evaluation methods. Requirements SUMMARY: The Automation Controls Engineer continuously evaluates the existing process control systems for reliability of control and effectiveness. In fulfilling these roles, the Plant Automation & Controls Engineer works closely with the various Plant department members, including Maintenance, and Operations. Provide day-to-day technical support on process control systems and process control related tasks. Support implementation of new projects by configuring control modules, batch programs, and HMI graphics. Continually improve process control systems through Advanced Process Control, Alarm Management, and Operator Interface Optimization.
