    Meta is seeking a Connectivity Systems Engineer to join our DEC Design Engineering team. Our Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. This role is responsible for the design of inside and outside plant structured cabling and infrastructure for our data center installations - including new builds, retrofits, special projects, and technology modifications. Connectivity Systems Engineers must demonstrate experience developing designs as well providing effective oversight of outsourced design work. In addition to assuring timely delivery of designs that meet (or exceed) project requirements, Connectivity Systems Engineers are expected to drive best practices and establish tools, processes, and standards consistent with large-scale data center deployments. Full design lifecycle engagement is required - with lessons learned from field deployments rolled into future programmatic designs. The Connectivity System Engineer will be expected to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - assuring all structured cabling design requirements are met in design execution. **Required Skills:** Connectivity Systems Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Drive designated program initiatives end-to-end - from requirements gathering, to design development, cross-functional validation, and rollout 2. For special programs, drive global project execution in addition to program development 3. Actively seek and promote best design practices, processes, and improvements to establish program designs conducive to large-scale builds 4. Actively incorporate lessons learned from previous builds and design generations 5. Fluent interfacing with network transport and network architecture requirements 6. Manage the design execution of complete and correct construction documents, schematic diagrams, pathways, rack systems, rack elevations, cable matrices, and bills of materials, as needed for all OSP, ISP, and Network structured cabling and infrastructure elements 7. Assist with request for proposal (RFP) process & bid documentation coordination for both design and construction contracts as required 8. Streamline deployment of project deliverables on short timelines 9. Validate and proof project deliverables and executable design documentation at each design milestone 10. Engage in the construction administration phase for design-driven elements that require technical depth that cannot be resolved directly by the Design Consultant or Geo Engineer - such as change coordination and request for information (RFI) responses 11. Partner with internal and external teams to drive programmatically approved changes across applicable projects 12. Manage and maintain documents reflecting project completion deliverables (i.e. as-built documentation), updating as required 13. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver project designs meeting capacity and network requirements as well as rollout timelines 14. Drive scalable structured cabling solutions throughout Meta owned or operated data center spaces and support facilities 15. Serve as a Technical SME for programs and projects that one leads 16. Provide regular project status updates and support DEC Design Engineering and corporate dashboards that capture delivery, cost, quality, and other established metrics 17. Participate in various team syncs to drive alignment, visibility, and consistency in program and project execution 18. Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues timely and effectively 19. Travel as required (~10-20%) to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at project locations **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 20. Workflow efficiency and automation - demonstrated experience in improving/developing processes to drive efficiency, automating wherever possible 27. Construction experience such as site walks, punch lists, field coordination, RFIs, clash detection, lessons learned feedback loops, etc 28. Mission critical engineering project experience 29. Detail oriented, experience providing solutions to complex problems, and proven experience with effectively manage deadlines 30. Demonstrated experience effectively engaging with many stakeholders (internal and external) to extract, analyze, and qualify requirements to drive solutions from inception to completion 31. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with network engineering, systems engineers, and external partners to align BIM deliverables with network architecture and project requirements 43. Management experience with design execution and quality control for construction documents, schematic diagrams, rack systems, cable matrices, and bills of materials for OSP/ISP/network cabling 44. The Principal Power Electronics Engineer will manage and lead the collaboration with Engineering and Operations teams globally to design, build and qualify innovative power delivery solutions using novel techniques. You will have responsibility for topology selection, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, test plan development and execution of power electronics circuitry. You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: Lead a small to medium size team of electrical engineers in the designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of power electronics for a variety of projects. Simulate, design, and validate various AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC topologies. Independently write test requests to the Milwaukee Test Laboratory based on established standard test procedures and prior examples. Create design documents, theory of operation schematic, layout, bill of materials, test plan and test report. Interact with suppliers to develop part/product specifications meeting performance requirements while falling within process capabilities. Mentor and coach the team in engineering best practices including task management, Gantt charts, root cause analysis, circuit / PCB design, and PCBA manufacturing. Champion technology investigations including system requirements, architecture definitions, and reusability strategies. Establish and maintain a strong awareness and database of competitive offerings, product strategies, and business climate to shape a best-in-class roadmap. Quickly, effectively, and candidly frame-up and escalate business risks/opportunities to senior leadership. Effectively communicate and motivate up, down and across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members. Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization's needs. Ensure the team is given the time and resources required to succeed by creating and managing robust project roadmaps and resource plans with converged project scope. Develop plans to evaluate and assess the emerging technology market space to fit/compliment Milwaukee Tool product initiatives and development. What TOOLS you'll bring with you: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 7+ years of experience in power electronics design including switch mode power supply topologies, inverters, and semiconductor component selection. Firm understanding of EMI/EMC concepts including identification of sources, transmission paths and mitigation methods. Hands-on approach with proven track record of realizing designs/concepts into production. Firm understanding of magnetic circuit design including: Transformer design, gapped energy storage devices and filtering components. Excellent troubleshooting skills in analog circuit design and ability to view the issue systematically for driving design trade-off discussion. Ability to research root cause failure analysis after all obvious ideas are exhausted. Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic. Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works well under pressure in a dynamic environment. Ability to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
