Senior Mechanical Engineer Entegris is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for polymer fluid handling product such as valves, tubing, and fittings in Chaska, MN as part of the Fluid Handling Unit within Entegris' Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This segment develops technologies that support design and development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world.
This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the development and technical advancement of fluid handling components such as valves fittings, and tubing. The Mechanical Engineer should be familiar with stage-gate development and New Product Introduction at low and high volume. Expected to work with Domestic and International company resources and/or vendors to move new concepts from prototype to production.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Decision Making
* Direct technical discussions and analyze evidence to make data-driven decisions ensuring functionality and reliability.

Product Development & Design

Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, product management, and customers to ensure alignment and project success.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including quality notifications, corrective actions, supplier capability, and process optimization.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
* Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components and services.
Documentation & Compliance
* Create and maintain drawings, SOPs, test procedures, routings, and BOMs.
* Support customer requests for documentation and test data.
Quality & Troubleshooting
* Perform root cause analysis on quality issues for new and existing products; troubleshoot design, functional, and assembly problems.
Mentorship

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
* Leadership: A proven track record of leading or supporting new product launches, design improvements and technologies into manufacturing with successful market launches. * Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, and 7+ years of directly related experience is required, advanced degree preferred, licensed as a professional engineer is a plus. Knowledge in semiconductor hardware, metrology and other equipment desired.
* Experience: Ability to design, fabricate, and qualify products and equipment used in the manufacture and testing of products, hands-on experience using various machine shop tools, processes and equipment assumed. Knowledge of materials and material properties is extremely useful in the role. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will integrate all facets of design including mechanical design and testing. Additional expectations: experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermal and fluid dynamics, kinematics and dynamics, dimensioning and tolerancing, and failure modes associated with mechanical design and material properties.
