Core Responsibilities:
Design and develop manual and automated test and assembly equipment/fixtures within framework of ISO and GMP.
Define architecture and requirements for control system, mechanical and electrical design.
Design, develop, test and document solutions for assembly and test fixtures/equipment.
Document design by creating drawings, specifications, technical reports, etc.
Collaborate with development and manufacturing engineers to create fixture designs that meet functional requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
Conduct performance evaluations of fixtures and adjust designs as necessary to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics, programming code, and user manuals.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems and fixtures in production environments.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements that can enhance fixture design and functionality.
Verify documentation for other engineers.
Technical Leadership and Project Management.
Manage assigned projects by developing schedules, cost estimates, design development activities, documentation, verification/validation activities, etc.
Manage development costs and schedules
Provide development team leadership, Coordinate work efforts of other team members
Document development through verbal and written status reports
Communicate project status to team members and management
Provide solutions in technical challenges and implement improvements.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and typically 3+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as PLC programming.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) in designing fixtures.
Ability to be innovative in the design and development of medical equipment
Strong understanding of control theory and systems integration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to apply engineering principles to the design and manufacture of equipment.
Project management skills.
Ability to analyze and solve technical problems.

Duties will include:
· Support the PCB group by resolving problems that arise in the SMT process including solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, SPI, x-ray inspection, AOI, Automated Storage, de-panel, PCB Wash, Ionic Tester and selective solder
· Machine operation, setup, training, and ensuring proper program performance and efficiency
· Assist in creating work instructions as well as providing redlines and/or updates
· Assist in any new tool design required to support the PCB group
· Assist on the qualification of new SMT equipment and the validation of new PCBAs
· Evaluate, troubleshoot, and disposition product that has failed
Experience Level with Business Tools
Experience using software to generate machine code to run SMT pick and place tools
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired
Education and Experience
Electrical, Manufacturing or related Engineering degree

Responsibilities
Nuclear Machinist's Mates operate and maintain steam turbines and reduction gears used for nuclear ship propulsion and auxiliary machinery such as turbogenerators, pumps and oil purifiers. They also maintain auxiliary machinery outside of main machinery spaces, such as electrohydraulic steering engines and elevators, refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and desalinization plants. They may also operate and maintain compressed gas producing plants. Nuclear-trained MMs perform duties in nuclear propulsion plants operating reactor control, propulsion and power generation systems.
Work Environment
As a Machinist's Mate Nuclear, you'll have the opportunity to work at sea or ashore. Your assignment could also place you in an intense, fast-paced environment aboard a nuclear-powered submarine or aircraft carrier.

Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, (known as Boot Camp), those pursuing a Machinist's Mate Nuclear role report to "A" School in Charleston, SC, for six months. Here, they develop a working knowledge of technical mathematics and power distribution. Students learn to solve basic equations using phasors, vector notations and basic trigonometry and analyze DC and AC circuits. They also learn how to operate electrical equipment using controllers, and how to properly test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, motors and other related electrical equipment.
From there, MMNs move on to Naval Nuclear Power School (NNPS), also in Charleston, SC. Here they learn theory and practical application of nuclear physics and reactor engineering. The six-month course provides a comprehensive understanding of a pressurized-water Naval nuclear power plant, including reactor core nuclear principles, heat transfer and fluid systems, plant chemistry and materials, mechanical and electrical systems, and radiological control.
Following NNPS, MMNs begin prototype training in their rating specialty at one of two Nuclear Power Training Units (NPTUs) - located in Charleston, SC, and Ballston Spa, NY. This six-month course teaches the fundamentals of a Naval nuclear power plant and the interrelationship of its mechanical, electrical, and reactor subsystems. Students develop oral communications skills, obtain an understanding of nuclear radiation, and gain knowledge of the safe operation of a complex Naval nuclear power plant.
In Nuclear Operations, promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

It's also important to note that specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian sector.

Electronics Technicians Navigation (ETV) are responsible for maintaining all electronic equipment used in navigating and piloting submarines. As an ETV, your responsibilities may include:

Operating, monitoring and maintaining radar, gyrocompass, inertial navigation and global positioning systems

Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training, including:
Basic Enlisted Submarine School (8 weeks) in Groton, CT, for training in basic submarine systems
Class "A" Technical School and Specialty Pipeline School (14-28 weeks) in Groton, CT, for instruction in basic electricity, electronics and computer technical knowledge and skills, and training in communications aboard fast attack or ballistic missile submarines
Advanced Training

What is the role?
Work with Product Managers and Engineering to support sales by preparing quotes and responding to client RFPs, requiring in-depth product and process knowledge for sizing and pricing.
