Job Duties

BW Converting seeking a high-performing Application Engineer who excels at problem solving, demonstrates strong initiative, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will assess customer technical requirements and work with Product Management, Sales, and Engineering to configure solutions using our products and technologies. Essential Functions

Required Qualifications

Job Description:
The Application Engineer serves as the technical liaison between Engineering and Sales, providing expert application guidance on new equipment to ensure customers receive complete, accurate, and timely project proposals. Essential Functions
Perform mechanical engineering-related functions including preparation of details, drawings, models, concepts, and basic analyses in support of customer applications.
Provide process and application expertise to Sales during the quotation phase and continue technical support through order acceptance.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop material references, engineering labor estimates, and proposal drawings that reflect feasible and optimized solutions.
Partner with engineering leadership on special or non-standard machine configurations to identify solutions consistent with product line strategy and long-term development goals.
Support Sales by defining technical criteria, analyzing customer specifications, and recommending appropriate products, systems, or configurations that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Travel with Sales representatives to customer sites as needed to support technical discussions and application definition.
Work with Product Management to identify new product opportunities or shifts in market requirements and contribute input to the product development roadmap and priority matrix.
