You will report directly to the senior R&D manager, and you'll work at our Spokane Valley, WA location on an on-site work schedule. + Work with members of R&D team, Commercial group, customers and OEM's to develop metal sputtering Targets and associated manufacturing processes, with emphasis on refractory metals and powder metallurgy processes. + Design and conduct experiments and analyses to drive the development of new technologies and products. + Develop and characterize new products and processes for optimal performance and quality so they transfer seamlessly and cost effectively into production. + Work on continuous improvement initiatives to improve value proposition of our products, improve productivity, process efficiency and/or cost. + Conduct process-property-application correlation to solve customer issues. + Apply knowledge of engineering principles to develop solutions to complex technical problems. + Effectively communicate results through reports and presentations. + Keep up to date on technological developments, trends, innovations, and issues related to electronic materials, and materials processing technologies. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. + Promote innovation by submitting new ideas and generating Intellectual Property. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. + 3-6 years of experience in research and development within a technology or manufacturing environment.
