Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. 3x2 rotation: Alternating between day and night shifts every two weeks

Your New Role
As our new Structural Engineer you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team of building design professionals who execute interesting and diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional and commercial sectors. Our team is at the forefront of helping clients achieve their built environment goals emphasizing sustainability concepts. You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in all the Ramboll business units and organizations in the Americas and globally including Energy Transition, Environment & Health, Water, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Completing assignments requiring a knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals and the application of those fundamentals to the production of engineering deliverables
Executing a variety of engineering tasks including the preparation of reports, investigatory studies, engineering design calculations, and Contract Documents
Maintaining routine communications with the project team members during proposal, design and construction phases of a project
Reviewing schedules and budgets of projects under their supervision
Preparing proposals and conducting efforts supporting business development activities
Performing detailed checking of work completed by others under their direct supervision
Visiting project sites to review work in progress, gain field experience, and advance practical engineering skills
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting, or other relevant technical curriculum and 6+ years of qualifying engineering experience; OR
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 0-3 years experience
OtherSkills and Abilities:
Familiarity with structural engineering design and finite element analysis (preferred)
Successfully passed, or plan to take, the FE exam with intent to pursue licensure in Professional Engineering
Confident communicator with strong report writing skills
Collaborates effectively in multidisciplinary design teams
Works independently with direction and support from senior colleagues
Experience with Autodesk Revit
Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors and areas
