* Manage all facets of inspections and surveys, including energy audits and analysis, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, environmental compliance, ADA compliance, acquisition and third party surveys
* Supervise and review all technical operations to include system air balancing reports, boiler, chiller and cooling tower performance testing; mechanical and electrical system noise and vibration control, tenant work orders, CFC chiller replacement and conversions

* Design and develop construction management including HVAC system comparisons and make appropriate recommendations to include HVAC systems and start up monitoring
* Assist Development & Acquisitions with due diligence and building evaluations
* Evaluate and recommend building automation, energy management and automatic temperature control systems.
* Perform value-engineering studies and evaluate contractor qualifications and recommendations.

Architectural and engineering managers typically need at least a bachelor’s degree and considerable work experience as an architect or engineer.

Education

Most architectural and engineering managers have at least a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty or a professional degree in architecture.

Many also gain business management skills by completing a master’s degree in engineering management (MEM or MsEM) or technology management (MSTM) or a master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
