· Update Q360 Master Inventory Items with current catalog/spec sheets and O&M sections

· Update pricing values for all manufacturers and vendors as price lists are received

· Manage PDF Share drive of catalog/specification sheets used for the creation of Equipment Submittals and Owner’s & Operations Manuals

· Prepare, transmit, track, and receive electronic Project Submittals

· Prepare electronic Owner’s & Operators Manuals and any other documentation required for job closeouts and transmitting to the customer(s)

· Reconcile room numbers from drawing into material list

· Record minutes for weekly Engineering meetings and follow up on action items

· Assist Designers in CAD background drawing clean-ups

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED; on the job training may substitute as equivalent

· Minimum of 3 years office related experience

· Ability to read, write, and speak the English language and have basic math skills

· Be well versed on computers, including experience with Microsoft Office Applications

· Intermediate experience on Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word

PTI Technologies engineering assistant job description

The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for contributing to the Engineering department's overarching goals. S/he will provide primary administrative support as directed by the manager to the Engineering Department. S/he will coordinate critical information between departments on behalf of the Engineering department. The ideal candidate will optimistically take on the challenge of providing feedback regarding continuous improvement, initiating changes to Engineering documents, managing multiple projects and their deadlines, and developing operation-critical Engineering reports. This position requires a flexible hands-on problem solver who will contribute to an innovative, fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, (8:00am to 5:00pm)

Working Environment: 100% on-site

FLSA Status: Exempt (not eligible for overtime pay)
Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Functions
· Ensures the department's projects are completed within budget and in a timely fashion by tracking and reporting on due dates and potential roadblocks affecting project execution and delivery
· Contribute to PTI's continuous improvement initiative and consistency efforts through data collection & analysis, SPC, and root cause analysis.
· Scan all documents and information into Company databases as needed.
· Update files and data on the Company's ERP system.
· Assist the production team with the changeover and setup of work cells; and training of unskilled laborers on work cells
· Develop engineering documents including work instructions, visual aids, process sheets, and drawings within a controlled document system

· Work closely with various departments to ensure the department's project timelines are moving forward to meet established due dates


Qualifications
· Associate degree
· 3 years' experience as a project manager or administrative support staff in an Engineering department
· Working knowledge of project management principles
· Previous experience in a production manufacturing environment (preferred not required)
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English
· Ability to communicate and present information to a small or medium-size audience
· Poised under pressure with the flexibility to switch gears at a moment's notice
