The individual will work in a team environment to lead and develop test and repair capability for a wide variety of avionic systems. The assignment involves: (1) Lead assembly test stations for test of avionics; (2) Support installation of Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems; (3) Design analysis for producibility; (4) Checkout interface hardware; (5) Integration of hardware and software products; (6) Support problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. The selected candidate should possess a basic knowledge of electrical systems and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with standard electronic laboratory test equipment and troubleshooting practices is required. About the Internship: This internship will provide exposure to a variety of engineering projects, offering valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a municipal engineering department. You will play a vital role in supporting our team by conducting inspections, collecting data, preparing reports, and assisting with various project-related tasks. Responsibilities: Perform daily construction inspections of stormwater, street, sidewalk, sanitary, and water infrastructure for compliance with plans, specifications, and/or state and federal requirements. Review concrete, soil, base rock, landscaping, and water quality reports for acceptable and compliant components and measures. Complete daily project records and communicate progress to the Project Manager. Inspect stormwater erosion control and Best Management Practices (BMPs) for capital projects and new construction for compliance with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. Assist with GIS mapping, data collection, planning, and reporting for stakeholder and volunteer engagement. Assist with developing outreach materials and implementing programs for watershed planning, water quality facilities, and stream quality data trends. This job posting will remain open until filled. Qualifications Job Qualifications - Education, experience, and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR. Undergraduate degree or student pursuing a degree in engineering, environmental science, biology, chemistry, construction management or similar field of study. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Experience with engineering plans, data analysis, GIS and/or material testing would be an asset or the ability to learn quickly would be an asset (training can be provided) Valid driver's license is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with this position. Proficient knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Google and the Internet Prior experience with CAD, ArcGIS, or GPS equipment is beneficial Able to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks without direct supervision.
