The Project Engineer (PE) supports the Project Manager (PM) and Project Superintendent to facilitate a well-managed project. The PE works successfully with and responds promptly to requests from the PM to achieve goals and assists with the overall management and administration of projects, including pre-construction services, subcontractor management, RFI's, and the submittal process.
Job Responsibilities
Develops an understanding of construction safety practices and has the ability to stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
Has a good grasp of construction terminology and a solid understanding of construction processes.
Estimates CORs and assists in bidding, assembling an estimate, and subcontractor coordination.
Understands all costs associated with a change request and aids the PM with change requests, Owner & Subcontractor change orders, and other items as needed.
Reviews and tracks schedules to learn project flow.
Ensures documentation and compliance by maintaining drawing revision logs, requesting pricing for changes in work, and evaluating/preparing/distributing RFIs.
Reviews & processes submittals accurately and identifies key items of coordination for PM & Superintendent to review.
Assists Superintendent in subcontract management by distributing drawings to subs and working on the submittal schedule and procurement process.
Takes the lead role in the project closeout documentation.
Tracks quantities for Self-Performed Work (SPW) productivity for monthly cost reports.
Assists in running and completing meeting agendas.
Completes contingency and allowance logs, etc.
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum required - Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

Design, improve, and manage manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and product quality in high density burn in rooms

Control costs for liquid production facilities.

Idea Phase. At Barnhart, we are continuous looking for ways to Improve and grow to be the best in our industry. Concept Phase. Gather information and begin to establish design parameters. Preliminary CAD Models and calculations may need to be created along with an initial cost estimate for the project.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in overseeing the installation of products at customer facilities.
Collaborate with the Support Service Field Department to ensure seamless implementation.
Conduct site visits to evaluate and resolve customer-related issues.
Maintain a proactive approach to addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Thoroughly examine orders released from Design Engineering for errors, functionality, and manufacturability.
Address and rectify any identified issues to maintain high-quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues on the plant floor promptly.
Implement effective solutions to enhance production efficiency.
Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for improving manufacturing processes.
Propose and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency.
Assess current and future production requirements to determine tool and fixture needs.
Proactively plan for manufacturing needs to ensure seamless production processes.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operations.
Participate in and support capital projects related to manufacturing and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred).
2+ years of prior relevant experience.
Working knowledge of CAD, with Solidworks proficiency preferred.
Preferably experienced in Programmable Logic Controller programming.
Efficient troubleshooting of electrical and hydraulic systems from schematics.
Thorough understanding of hydraulic power systems and controls.
Working knowledge of welding and steel fabrication techniques.
Bonus: Experience in robotic welding.
Strong analytical skills and excellent project management capabilities.
Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Comfortable working without direct supervision and willing to work flexible hours.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and grasp with fingers.

SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for managing projects with the responsibility for project planning and development. Coordinates assigned project relationships and expectations in conjunction with overall project. Provides on-site direction to assigned project technicians to ensure completion of duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide day to day direction to contractors and technicians to ensure all project tasks are completed in accordance with specifications.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Crankshaft Manufacturing processes.
Lead the team to ensure goals and objectives are set and accomplished.
Develop and maintain timelines to track milestones and are consistent with customer and company needs, budgets are set and expenses tracked, risks are identified and mitigated.
Monitor project schedules and flow.
Identify issues that can delay timelines and bring these issues to the attention of key stake holders.
Provide support in resolving issues to meet project goals and deliverables.
Work directly with functional department and group leaders.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports, agendas, meeting minutes, analyses and presentations.
Work closely with project teams, clients and collaborators on resource planning and tracking, strategic planning and annual goal setting.
Must be capable of motivating others, creating a positive work environment and foster inter-departmental collaboration,
Must be capable of clearly assigning objectives, clearly setting and measuring and monitoring progress, managing resources and handling competing priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of Project Management experience with machine/system integrations in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
Ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet challenging targets
Familiar with lathes, mills, drills, bore, tapping, heat treat, grinding, balancing, rolling, polishing, etc.
Knowledge of the following equipment and machinery is a plus: Heller, Alfing, Junker, Hoffman, Heckert, DMG Mori, Hegenscheidt, Supafina, and Kuka Robotics.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
