GWTT is seeking to hire a full-time Field Engineer within our Large Infrastructure Projects Group. The Field Engineer reports to the project lead onsite and work closely with the PMO including project management, engineering, safety, environmental, and quality control personnel. Quality Control: Review and comprehend scope packages to ensure engineering specifications and QAQC requirements are fully understood and adhered to by construction personnel during construction.

Develop Pre-Construction Inspection outline for each “Definable Feature of Work” for the significant scope. Specific items to be outlined include: Scope of work, implementation schedule, verification of approved permits, submittals, implementations equipment and materials, and substantive specification and site preparation requirements have been supplied and approved by the Engineer and Client.
Manage red-line drawings and document field changes for all aspects of construction scope to ensure changes are documented consistently with specifications and Project Engineer direction.
Project Stakeholders: Responsible to work cooperatively with state and county inspectors, the client representative and field staff and regulators, to support positive resolution of construction related issues, observations, scheduling and deficiencies.
Project Scheduling: It’s vitally important to pro-actively interface with State and County governing agencies and third-party inspectors regarding inspection schedules. Understanding GWTT’s project schedule is paramount to ensure that required submittals and site/permit inspections are scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
Land Survey: Must be proficient with requirements of site survey control. Baselines are established. Field Engineer will coordinate with surveyors to layout and as-built project scope, and monitor tank structures for potential settlement.
Project Inventory: Work closely with Site Superintendent to verify incoming shipments. Responsible to perform inspection of items to ensure product:
Meets specifications, drawings and purchase order
Is not damaged and/or no visible defects to packaging or shipped item

Support the Technical Operations Manager (TOM) to swiftly and efficiently perform the machine builds.
Create urgency when needed to make corrections or modifications to the machine build
Make immediate suggestions and substitutions to the BOM to finalize the build
Follow up with Design engineering to finalize the substitutions.
Create standard practices and instructions related to machine builds
Ultimately responsible for the internal FAT passage and documentation of the details of performance.
Responsible for the successful passage of Customer FAT. And the memorialization of the test results.
What you will bring
Bachelors Degree, in Engineering / Machine Design / Mechanical / Mechatronics and 4+ years of experience.
Experience designing automated machinery, such as assembly, packaging, filling and/or continuous motion machines.
Demonstrated ability to produce practical designs that fit spatial, cost, and timeline constraints
Exceptional concept and problem-solving skills
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Engineering and design principles, Tolerance Stack Up Analysis, Geometric Tolerancing.
Root cause analysis and analytical problem-solving training preferred.
Knowledge of FDA, ASME standards/regulations preferred.
3D Design experience -Solidworks, or similar (Inventor, Creo, etc)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with machine shop/manufacturing practices.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000 based on experience and application of technical knowledge.

Job Description
Supports production through the timely resolution of quality issues, development of manufacturing processes for new products, implementation of process efficiency improvements, development and maintenance of assembly procedures, training of operators in procedures /use of equipment, and the creation of tooling, and fixtures.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identifies changes to the design and/or manufacturing process for the improvement of product quality and process efficiencies
2. Develops knowledge and understanding of basic programming, setting up and operating production automated equipment to train production operators
3. Designs simple fixtures, tools and jigs
4. Works closely with Cross functional teams in development of processes
5. Creates and maintains assembly procedures
6. Facilitates process root cause analysis and implements countermeasures
7. Supports continuous improvement initiatives through data collection and trend identification
8. Interfaces with vendors to solve problems and make recommendations for improvement
9. Provides technical expertise for process troubleshooting and equipment design
10. Facilitates identifying waste and incorporating lean manufacturing principles
11. Trains operators in accordance with released production assembly procedures
12. Supports production through documentation, procurement of equipment, spare parts and tooling
13. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of equipment; coordinates support from service providers as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background:
3 years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment and troubleshooting
Experience with PCB assembly, soldering, cable processing
Experience in setup and programming of automated equipment
Experience in the application of lean manufacturing principles
CAD experience preferred
Visual basic and/or SQL knowledge
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational problems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Basic to intermediate proficiency with CAD and 3D models
Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
