New Product Introduction & Capital Equipment Integration Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products, working closely with design engineering and Integrated Product Teams. Lead equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and release into production. Validate new processes via First Article Inspections and ensure software systems reflect all CAPA-driven updates. 4. Data Analysis & Process Capability Track key process metrics (Cp/Cpk, SPC), identify trends, and trigger RCA when performance dips or escapes occur. Propose and execute projects targeting cost reduction and defect prevention, backed by data. 5. Shop-Floor Optimization & Documentation Partner with hourly workforce, tool designers, QA, systems, and assembly teams to apply CAPA-driven process improvements, reducing QC/PC escapes and assembly cost. Maintain and update work instructions, SOPs, tooling specs, and QAD/process control documentation to reflect RCA outcomes. Familiarity with technical data such as blueprints, quality documents, specs, etc. Provide operational engineering/quality support to minimize production downtime and improve cost, delivery, quality and assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigations. 6. EH&S & Ergonomics Leadership Support all EH&S initiatives by driving safe processes across all production product lines. Proactively identify environmental, ergonomic, and human factor risks. Drive RCA and implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate root causes of incidents or near misses. 7. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Actively participate in CORE/lean initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Gemba), applying root-cause tools throughout. Sustain improvements via iterative RCA and CAPA integration. 8. Collaboration & Coaching Work closely with QA, IS, IPT, systems designers, and program assembly partners. Mentor team members on RCA and CAPA methodologies to build organizational problem-solving capability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or related) + 1-5 years of manufacturing/process/quality engineering experience. Project Management

Position Summary:

Education:

Project Overview & Description: The scope of the project is three fold. 1) design and implement best practice outfall discharge points that are safe and functional for stormwater and NPDES outfall sampling; 2) Evaluate the current stormwater systems and design improvements to the systems that best support minimal water discharge from site; and 3) to organize and digitize the supporting documentation for compliance activities occurring onsite.
Project Description & Deliverables: Observe and document current preventative maintenance practices. Research OEM recommendations/schedules and compare with current practices. From these inputs, recommend and develop improved PMs that can be implemented, working with personnel at the site to update the PMs in the CMMS, and train maintenance personnel on their execution, developing SOPs and guides/resource materials as necessary. Many of the site's PMs are based on historical practices. Information on recommended maintenance schedules from OEMs is sometimes limited. The purpose of this project is to develop more comprehensive PM plans that better incorporate OEM guidance so that the site can better maintain its assets, reduce unscheduled downtime and allow for better cost management.

What you will do:
* Work effectively on cross-functional teams to maintain equipment to achieve a reduction in downtime
* Provide technical guidance and improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of operating equipment through application of mechanical engineering practice

* Develop processes by designing and modifying equipment
* Analyze plant data to identify areas of focus for the maintenance team, areas of opportunity to reduce downtime, downtime trends by department and machine center, and other opportunities to improve plant performance.

* Lead root cause failure analysis on mechanical equipment; develop corrective action and track results

Primary Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the machining business unit.
* Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
* Obtain and maintain knowledge of machining techniques and processes for manufacturing.
* Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements.
* Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use.
* Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements.
* Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.
* Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 5 years technical experience
* 3 year manufacturing experience
