This position will be working in a plant environment, alongside a lead plant engineer. This client is looking to bring in support for the lead plant engineer helping with the day-to-day operations and improvements for production and planning.
For this position the person will be required to learn about the equipment in the facility, get hands-on when required to help with problem solving and fixing processes. They will help design new processes, or additions to current equipment to improve a process or fix an issue. This can include getting involved with mechanical and electrical drawings. There will be a learning curve to all of this since their production processes are unique to their product. However, this person will have to have the mechanical engineering knowledge to apply to their problem solving and calculations. This person will eventually get involved in communication to state safety reps, when updating certifications or permits, and following regulations. They'll learn and assist with following the ISO 9001 quality standards for the facility and help with work instructions.
All in all this will be a very diverse position where the individual will get involved in all areas of manufacturing/plant engineering. This is a lean team where people handle a wide range of responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities
Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
