GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Manufacturing Engineer II will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations spanning both first and second shifts. This position focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives and sustaining efficient manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer II will handle day-to-day manufacturing engineering issues, troubleshoot production challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Evaluate moderately complex manufacturing processes by applying their knowledge of product design, tool design, fabrication, assembly, and materials.
Develop moderately complex manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, testing, and modifying manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Support the business by calculating production targets, labor standards, and material costs.
Work with outside vendors and customers to support problem solving, process improvements, and root cause corrective actions.
Identify and implement effective solutions to address challenges related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Develop comprehensive documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures to ensure standardization and regulatory compliance.
Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
Perform other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, related field, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
MSS mainframe experience, preferred.
Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts in English.
Bilingual in Spanish or Tagalog, preferred.

The Position
The Pharmacovigilance Systems Intern will support Drug Safety operations at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by assisting with the configuration, support, and optimization of safety systems. How Will You Make an Impact?:
Interns at Brown and Caldwell make a daily, material impact by completing support duties to advance their team's projects and objectives. They receive professional training and the support of their team. Interns can expect to be onboarded, mentored, and developed by industry leaders to develop real-life skills and make an impact on their assigned projects.
As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
* Collaborate closely with people managers, project managers, engineers, scientists, and multidisciplinary teams to support projects in water, wastewater, drinking water, environmental engineering, design, sustainability, climate mitigation, and more.
* Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables including but not limited to calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and memoranda.
* Potential to participate in field work and site visits to support project design, construction, and data collection activities.
* Perform data entry, analysis, and visualization to support engineering and scientific evaluations.
* Ensure quality and accuracy by adhering to Brown and Caldwell's QA/QC processes and standards.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to coordinate project tasks and deliverables.
* Support engineering services during construction by reviewing submittals, conducting inspections, and verifying conformance with plans and specifications.
