Overview of the position:
At Clark Pacific, the Project Engineer is a position that facilitates the successful design, fabrication, and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working as part of an integrated team within a specific business unit, this role applies engineering, project management, problem solving, and communication skills across all levels and disciplines within the organization, significantly contributing to the project success of some of the West Coast's most iconic and exciting prefabricated buildings.
Initial activities pertaining to the Design Phase, including, but not limited to: Submittal drawings (floor plans, elevations, material specifications, connection details, Reinforcing details, General panel details, Design approvals, Reinforcement drawings, and Miscellaneous metal drawings.
Manufacturing-related activities pertaining to the Production Phase, including, but not limited to: Providing complete shop drawings (panel elements, structural elements, formwork, form change studies, Birdseye, stripping and yard handling studies to facilitate manufacturing, Ensuring purchasing of all required materials and forms, Design lifting hardware, loops, rigging, brackets, and inserts for stripping and handling forces, Provide and maintain a casting schedule, Perform quality checks, and Engage in start-up meetings with manufacturing, and remain engaged throughout each project's life cycle.
Field-related activities pertaining to the Erection Phase, including, but not limited to: Preparing crane studies, rigging diagrams, and the overall project erection plan as well as erection sequence, load lists, and diagrams, Coordinate shipping of miscellaneous metal, Coordinate field manpower requirements with Field & Trucking team to alignment to budget, Ensure fall protection plan is in place, Professionally represent the Company at the field erection site, and Inspect erection quality and performance to plan and budget.
General project management including, but not limited to: Project performance to contract specifications, budget, and time commitments, Issue identification, problem-solving, resolution, and escalation (as necessary), Coordinate necessary and requested procedure submittals (such as welding, grouting, post-tensioning, etc., Engage with internal resources throughout the Company to contribute, learn, and develop professionally.

Other Duties: Provide technical support for layout, surveying, and documentation as needed. Assist in preparing project documentation, including as-builts and progress photos.

The Facilities team ensures that every operation across the site is “go” at all times, supporting everything from power and utilities to highly specialized machines like industrial 3D printers. About the Role
Support critical facilities systems (HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, DI water, cranes, fire protection, and building management systems) through data collection, trend analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting alongside engineers and technicians.
Assist with preventative maintenance planning by helping update CMMS (e.g., Akitabox) work orders, reviewing asset histories, and identifying improvement opportunities in reliability and uptime.
Contribute to capital projects and upgrades by supporting design reviews, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with vendors, and tracking construction/installation progress.
Perform engineering calculations and analysis (airflow, cooling loads, pressure drop, etc.) to support system sizing, modifications, or performance validation.
Develop technical documentation including standard operating procedures, equipment specifications, and “lessons learned” reports to enhance knowledge transfer across the team.

About the Team
The Stage Fluids team designs and delivers the propellant, pressurant, pneumatics, and other fluid systems that turn structures into functioning rockets. The team has full ownership across design, production, test, and flight, maintaining a holistic view of Terran R, focused not on isolated parts but integrated functionality. Working on-site at the factory means you're never far from the hardware, enabling rapid iteration and tight feedback loops across design and manufacturing. You won't just be handed requirements: you'll be expected to ask the right questions, collaborate with partners across the company, and ultimately find the best solutions for Terran R.
About the Role
In this role, you will support for the mechanical and systems-level design and analysis for the stage fluid systems, ensuring a reliable and efficient operation of our Terran R launch vehicle, including:
Structural design of secondary structures supporting fluids hardware
Mechanical design validation utilizing FEA and/or hand calcs
Tube routing design and analysis
Fluids system analysis utilizing 1D Flow solvers and hand calcs
About You
Current undergraduate or graduate student in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
Project or industry experience with a commercial CAD package (NX, Solidworks, etc...)
Project or industry experience with fluid system or component design or operation
Ability to thrive with ambiguous and rapidly changing requirements
Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics, fluid mechanics, and thermal analysis
Nice to Haves but Not Required
Project or industry experience with FEA software
Experience utilizing Python or other object-oriented programming languages
Experience with various manufacturing methods and processes

Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of technical, both routine and moderately complex tasks that provide familiarity with programs, staff, and operating procedures.
Collaborate and work under the direction of engineers to support Code Consulting, Fire Protection engineering and/or Security design efforts.
Performs developmental assignments involving the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.
Applies prescribed method to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Qualifications:
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical, or other related engineering fields
At least two years of undergraduate schooling
Responsible self-starter with problem solving and reasoning skills

About the Team
The Integrated Performance team owns the holistic view of how Terran R comes together, ensuring that every system on the vehicle and ground is capable of achieving our ambitious objectives. The team works across the full launch system, from trajectory design and aerodynamics to reliability analysis and beyond, with direct influence on all parts of the product lifecycle, from conceptual design to post-flight data review. Beyond analysis, team members engage hands-on with hardware and operations, with the mission and authority to drive meaningful programmatic change. With a unique organizational structure, the integrated performance team spans multiple technical domains and embeds directly with partner teams to solve the hardest multi-disciplinary problems. The team operates with a rare scale: large enough to support complex development, yet small enough that individual contributors have meaningful impact.
About the Role
The Integrated Performance department at Relativity Space is responsible for ensuring that our rockets will achieve our overall objectives and satisfy stringent customer and government requirements. Our department comprises teams responsible for Flight Sciences, including Aerodynamics, Thermal Sciences, Loads, and Dynamics; Integrated Structures Analysis; Guidance, Navigation, Control & Vehicle Performance (GNCP); Systems Engineering; Mission Reliability; and Product Engineering. We architect and execute analysis, simulation, operations, and test projects for all of Relativity's hardware and software teams in pursuit of mission success. Previous Summer Intern Projects
Launch vehicle trajectory design and optimization including launch availability and flight safety
Process test data and flight data to ensure analysis predictions properly represent vehicle behavior
Model stage separation including plume impingement to inform trajectory design of an entry vehicle
Develop models and perform analysis for multiple payload deployment collision avoidance
Develop dynamic loads and levels for launch vehicle hardware to design and test to
Work with hardware designers to successfully execute to criteria established by the above
Model coupled dynamics of engine actuators in a full vehicle dynamics simulation
Upfront design work on creating a wall of truth for vehicle design
Develop a script to automatically update a dashboard that displays abort values for testing and launch
Perform CFD analysis of vehicle entry configurations, develop aero databases
Analyze flight and engine hot fire data to characterize dynamic response behavior of Terran R
Design, manufacture, and test hardware to aid in mitigation of dynamic environments and/or execution of dynamics testing
About You
