Interns will have the opportunity to own projects that create meaningful impacts for the organization. What you'll do: * Shadow process and project engineers, maintenance personnel, and production operators to understand our products, equipment, projects, and areas for improvement. * Facilitate, execute, or lead continuous improvement projects/activities with support from managers. * Work with the plant engineering team to develop capital appropriation requests and develop adequate documentation to justify proposed investments by defining scope, preparing a project budget, and establishing project schedules. * Identify, work with, and lead vendors/contractors to achieve project objectives. * Optimize process control parameters in partnership with manufacturing, quality, and R&D to establish standard operating procedures. What you'll bring: * Drive to learn and a go-getter attitude. * 2-3 years of experience pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related discipline. * Ability to communicate with peers, management, plant employees and contractors. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize varying tasks. * Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
