Responsible for the design of production tools and/or machines and for developing solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes, shop floor routing and tooling. Incorporates all the production related aspects Engineering Change orders (ECOs) and revision changes dictated by the customer. Reviews manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and feasibility before and after engineering releases. Implements cost-reduction projects. Maintains documentation as needed. Stays updated on new manufacturing technology. Investigates applications of new technology.
