We have a current opportunity for a Staff Project Engineer to join our team in Goleta, CA. This role is responsible for project technical execution using a holistic approach to design, develop, evaluate, and modify products through their entire life cycle. Serves as Lead to the business unit in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
Responsibilities
Lead project to ensure the scope, schedule, staffing and budget are well defined and maintained.
Functions as technical lead of a program or project team.
Technical customer liaison and support for business development activities.
Responsible for the technical integrity of projects while providing technical guidance to clients, and departments at the brand, program, and project levels.
Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during a project's lifecycle.
Non-conformance disposition authority.
Leads in design reviews, test plans and procedures to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
Reduces high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Responsible for a projects technical/operational leadership within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and the customer.
Controls project costs through close control of system intent, aligning resources to project phases, and approving expenditures.
Defines, generates, reviews, presents project's required documentation.
Some travel required - an average of 10-15% travel may be required. Most of the travel is local but some overnight travel may be necessary.
Ideal Experience
B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 8+ years' experience, including developing, designing, manufacturing, and testing production hardware.
Must have well-rounded System Level approach, with previous experience leading technical teams.
Experience with space mechanism design and aerospace guidelines.
Proficient in CAD and PDM Systems.
Drafting knowledge with understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 along with tolerance analysis capabilities.
Prior experience preparing and presenting project / program updates to all levels and customers.
Experience in the Root Cause Analysis process.
Desired Skills
M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other space-related discipline.
Experience with PDM Pro, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Thermal Desktop, NASTRAN or ANSYS is a plus.
Ideal experience with the following Aerospace guidelines: GSFC-STD-7000A (GEVS), AIAA S-114-2005, NASA-STD-5017, MMPDS, etc.
Experience with Graphite and Fiberglass composites, Photovoltaics, flexible circuits and printed circuit board assemblies.
Experience working with design, manufacturing and verification of PV systems and composite structures.

The candidate will be based in Port Hueneme, Ca Naval Base and will support the LCS platforms, including travel to other domestic ports and OCONUS ports as appropriate. The selected candidate will be expected to travel 40% of the time supporting Littoral Combat Ships (LCS-class ships) and will work within the parameters and rules common to U.S. Naval vessels.
Performs physically demanding work including working in tight, restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship and other spaces (e.g., RIB engine compartment), climbing 20 ft. ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or pier lifting 50 lbs. or more. As required, candidates hired for a specific position must be able to pass forklift and/or Category II or III Crane operator's physical and proficiency tests. Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work, to include working aloft, in tight, restricted spaces onboard LCS Platforms, climbing scaffolding, ladders and standing for long periods of time onboard a LCS ship or pier and be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

This internship is based in our Flight Test Headquarters in Camarillo airport. The Summer Intern Program will run for 12 weeks starting in May / June depending on your academic calendar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure instrumentation is configured and safe for flight.
Support creation, tracking, and closure of flight squawks with proper documentation.
Help plan and organize data collection activities for ground and flight test campaigns.
Participate in flight test planning, readiness reviews, and flight briefs/debriefs.
Contribute to post-flight data review and analysis using MATLAB / Simulink and other tools
Prepare and maintain test documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Support development and maintenance of certification flight test plans.
Partner with the GNC and Flight Test teams to execute ongoing test campaigns.
Provide general support to flight test operations and other assigned engineering tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in a university pursuing your Bachelors or Masters in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or similar discipline.
Graduating between December 2026 & June 2027
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with flight dynamics and/or aircraft performance modeling
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or other programming languages for data analysis and scientific computing.

We are currently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Engineering Technician III for on-site at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA to provide Seaborne Target O&M Support a broad range of technical areas to include one or more of the following in a marine environment; HAZMAT, Quality Assurance, small vessel operator, mechanical, electrical, and electronics.
Primary duties include (other duties may be added):
Under supervision, apply technical working knowledge to perform tasks on various types of marine engine on seaborne target systems and subsystems (QST A/B/I, FACT, HSMST, and SDST Targets).
If required for the position, train to and qualify in vessel operator for; HSMST, QST A/B/I, FACT and SDST Targets.
Tasks typically involve assisting higher level technicians in activities such as build-up or replacing seaborne target components, marine engines, troubleshooting systems and subsystems, repairing simple machinery equipment; using tools and common test equipment; and receiving technical guidance, as required.
Follow established preventative maintenance programs utilizing technical service manuals and schematic charts for marine engines and related marine equipment.
Additional Duties:
Operate and be qualified (technically and medically) in forklift operations, overhead crane operations, marine travel lift, and other target-specific equipment.
Maintain equipment logs, maintenance action forms and work-time tracking sheets.
If required for the position, qualify and maintain Portable Command and Control Unit (PCCU) Remote Control Operator (RCO) certification.
