Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer who is eager to learn the business of construction from the ground up. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of the project team, managing the critical flow of information between the field, the office, the design team, and the client.
You will work under the direct mentorship of experienced Project Managers and Superintendents. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day; you will be expected to engage with the job site, understand the building process, and help solve problems in real-time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Document Control & Information Management
Submittals: Manage the submittal process from start to finish. Review shop drawings for compliance with contract documents before submitting them to the Architect/Engineer.
RFIs: Draft and process Requests for Information (RFIs). Coordinate with the field team to clarify constructability issues and track answers from the design team.
Meeting Management: Prepare agendas and take detailed minutes for weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and internal team meetings.
Project Management Support
Procurement: Assist in the buyout process, scoping subcontractor bids, and tracking material lead times to ensure materials arrive on site when needed.
Financials: Assist the Project Manager with monthly pay applications, change order pricing, and invoice coding.
Closeout: Lead the closeout process by collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings to deliver a complete turnover package to the client.
Field Support & Quality Control
Site Presence: Regularly walk the site with the Superintendent to track progress, document safety observations, and understand the sequence of work.
Punch List: Manage the punch list process towards the end of the project, coordinating subcontractors to complete outstanding items efficiently.
Photos: Maintain a comprehensive photo log of the project progress (using Procore or similar tools).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience. Previous internships in commercial construction are highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project) and PDF editing software (Bluebeam Revu). Familiarity with construction management software (Procore) is a major plus.
Communication: Strong written skills are essential (you will be writing many professional emails and RFIs).
Attitude: A "sponge" mentality-eager to learn, willing to ask questions, and proactive in finding ways to help the team.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Hybrid Role: Work is split between the corporate office and active job sites.
Mobility: Must be able to walk job sites, climb temporary stairs/ladders, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Lifting: Occasional lifting of project documents or materials (up to 20 lbs).

This is an outstanding opportunity to learn construction-specific safety considerations at Ryan Companies Mission Critical project sites. The Safety Engineer Intern assists the Safety Manager in the overall implementation of the Ryan Safety Program and serves as a technical resource for field operations. This position works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents in dealing with all Health and Safety issues on site, at the project level.
Some things you can expect to do:
Assist Project Management Team in establishing and implementing Ryan Safety and Site Safety Program.
Assist Project Management and Superintendent in obtaining and reviewing Subcontractor Safety submittals.
Ensure that the Ryan Safety Program is kept up to date.
Review safety procedures with each foreman as required.
Provide training to the craft workers on safe work procedures.

To be successful in this role, you must be:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, safety management, construction safety sciences, construction safety management, field and occupational safety (Safety Management, etc.).
Within 6 to 24 months of graduating with a four-year degree, ideally in a construction or safety related field of study.
Able to work 40 hours a week for a two to three-month term.

* Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
* Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
* 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
* Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
* Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
* .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
* 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
* 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
* Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

$44,000.00 - $185,000.00

As an Avionics Engineering Intern you will focus on the design, physical testing, and integration of mission-critical flight deck subsystems. You will be responsible for creating wire diagrams, setting up hardware in the lab, and performing end-to-end subsystem tests, including electrical, hardware, and software integration.
Summer: around 10 weeks (May - August)
Responsibilities:
Design and implement mission subsystem components, with a focus on flight deck systems
Conduct physical testing of subsystems and validate performance against requirements
Develop and maintain detailed wire diagrams for subsystem integration
Set up and configure hardware in lab environments for testing and validation
Perform end-to-end subsystem testing, ensuring full integration of electrical, hardware, and software components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, electrical, and mechanical engineering) to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues
Support flight deck readiness through rigorous lab-based and field testing
Document test results, integration procedures, and system configurations
Minimum Requirements:
