Role Description & Responsibilities The Robotics Applications R&D Team is looking for looking for a talented and motivated student intern who is majoring in engineering. Our applications are used for simulation and offline programming of industrial robots. Our team develops applications for rapid development of robot programs which can then be simulated accurately and translated into production robot programs. Our software translates simulations to and from 22 different robot programming languages. The translation is both logical (converting programming constructs) and spatial (converting positional data). We are seeking an individual with interest in robotics and programming languages. The goal of the internship will be to research solutions to a challenging software engineering problem and try to find possible solutions. The challenges involve translating between programming languages and will require learning, or having prior experience with, Python, VB.NET, and industrial robot programming languages such as FANUC TP and ABB Rapid. The challenges will also involve using and possibly tuning AI models.
