The Roofing Service Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and field service tasks on commercial roofing systems. Under the direction of the Material Systems Supervisor, the Material System Technician is responsible for properly mixing, grinding, and moving all raw material for the production of injection molded products, controlling and identifying all scrap material, which includes regrind for processing, recyclable scrap, and waste scrap. Responsibilities will also include setting up, programming, operation and minor maintenance of the entire material handling system. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions: Review production schedule and set-up materials according to the schedule. Read, follow, and verify work orders to insure product is manufactured to specification. Properly complete electronic Material Log sheets every shift. Change materials as required. Identify raw materials and label correctly. Properly program, set up, and operate entire material handling system including blenders, dryers, hoppers and grinder evacuation units. Troubleshoot and correct common material and material system problems. Complete moisture tests daily on Max 4000XL Moisture Analzyer and document results. Clean and help maintain material blenders, hoppers, dryers, and grinders. Complete material transactions in PeopleSoft for additions and subtractions of raw materials. Visual inspection of manufactured parts. Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality/Environmental System certifications by supporting: corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation. Perform daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly cycle counts of raw material as needed. Change, clean and maintain all pump filters in material system as required. Unload "Bulk Material Trucks" into proper silo, following specific work instructions. Verify Closed loop regrind systems are in place and working. Mix raw materials as needed using the correct formulas. Other Functions Complete routine housekeeping to ensure that the material handling areas are keep clean and organized by following daily and weekly cleaning procedures. Attend and successfully complete forklift certification. Weigh and properly document all scrap materials for reuse, recycling, and waste. Other duties as assigned. Success in this role will require Ability to read and follow work orders. Properly complete material changes according to the production schedule and work order. Use and complete Electronic Material Log properly. Ability to properly identify and label all types of raw materials (virgin, regrind, recyclable scrap and waste materials). Properly correct common material and material system related problems. Properly complete cleaning on grinders, hoppers, color mixers, and press during material changes. Properly take samples for moisture checks. Properly complete material transactions using the ERP system. Successfully complete forklift training and certification. Ability to function as team player. Ability to perform basic math. Ability read, write and follow written instructions in English. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and work for 8-hour shifts. Forklift experience preferred. Familiarity with computers and have the ability to perform basic data entry. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet the needs of our customers. This is a hands-on position working closely with corporate IT, onsite project team members and 3rd party contractors. Essential Responsibilities: Install, troubleshoot & repair hardware, software, & peripheral equipment Assist/manage site-wide network setup and support Assist with jobsite trailer mobilization and demobilization as required Work with site team to proactively address and resolve service requests and/or to gather information necessary to resolve service requests. Communicate with other IT team members to resolve issues and expedite work Work with 3rd party vendors/support as needed Manage service tickets in IT ticketing system Effectively determine when to escalate an issue Willing to work during non-business hours when necessary to support site moves, local network upgrades, etc. Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $78,400.00 +12% geo-uplift and additional compensation for temporary relocation of $4000+/month Qualifications: Professional Experience and Education Minimum of 5 years technical support experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing PC's, printers, peripherals, networks, and voice/data connectivity Minimum of 3 years experience coordinating, planning & execution of jobsite office mobilizations, moves and demobilizations Position Related Skills In depth knowledge of networking topology, routers, switches, WAPs, etc. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop OS, Server OS & O365 applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must be able to work multiple tasks and between a variety of environments Must be a strong team player, self-starter, flexible and be able to work well with a variety of personalities, with minimal instruction, and minimal direct supervision Must be well organized. Must be willing to travel to support other jobsites Willing to train and certified to operate mobile lift platforms Construction-related industry experience a plus Physical and Mental Requirements: Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of sitting/walking and standing Legs: Must be able to climb stairs - 5% of day Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision.
