ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Cleveland, OH team and advance in a dynamic work environment. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks. Responsibilities * Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers. * Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance. * Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspection; May assist with calculations, drafting, and other administrative duties as requested. * Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; Communicate changing site conditions and additional requested testing to supervisor; Attend project meetings as requested; Assist with organization of field equipment and notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed. * Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; Document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices. Qualifications Required Qualifications * No experience required. * High school diploma or GED. * Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds. * Must have valid driver's license and insurance. * Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures. * Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety. * OSHA 10 certification may be required. * Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). * Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.     Under the direction of the Material Systems Supervisor, the Material System Technician is responsible for properly mixing, grinding, and moving all raw material for the production of injection molded products, controlling and identifying all scrap material, which includes regrind for processing, recyclable scrap, and waste scrap. Responsibilities will also include setting up, programming, operation and minor maintenance of the entire material handling system. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions: Review production schedule and set-up materials according to the schedule. Read, follow, and verify work orders to insure product is manufactured to specification. Properly complete electronic Material Log sheets every shift. Change materials as required. Identify raw materials and label correctly. Properly program, set up, and operate entire material handling system including blenders, dryers, hoppers and grinder evacuation units. Troubleshoot and correct common material and material system problems. Complete moisture tests daily on Max 4000XL Moisture Analzyer and document results. Clean and help maintain material blenders, hoppers, dryers, and grinders. Complete material transactions in PeopleSoft for additions and subtractions of raw materials. Visual inspection of manufactured parts. Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality/Environmental System certifications by supporting: corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation. Perform daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly cycle counts of raw material as needed. Change, clean and maintain all pump filters in material system as required. Unload "Bulk Material Trucks" into proper silo, following specific work instructions. Verify Closed loop regrind systems are in place and working. Mix raw materials as needed using the correct formulas. Other Functions Complete routine housekeeping to ensure that the material handling areas are keep clean and organized by following daily and weekly cleaning procedures. The ITFE will work as a part of a team to support employees located at a large construction jobsite in the Burlington, TX area. Responsibilities Interacts in-person, via telephone, email, IM, and web interface to assist users. Analyzes, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues, including employee laptops and mobility devices in a timely fashion in accordance with SLAs and OLAs. Installs and maintains software/equipment/networks at the jobsite. Responsible for creation, tracking, and resolving incidents and tasks in SolarWinds/Samanage. Records, tracks, and audits equipment using the established asset management system (Samanage) and processes, including asset recovery at the jobsite. Responsible for maintaining company security through established tools. Responsible for implementing rollouts for company technology that may impact the jobsite. Follows ITIL processes for incident and problem management. Provides IT training during onboarding and provisions assets following established best practices. Provide relevant input for technical and process improvements to contribute and the overall effectiveness of the DPR IT organization. Takes initiative to work with other cross-functional IT team members to improve the quality of service. Remains current on information technology, especially mobility solutions for business needs. Works with jobsite team to design and implement infrastructure according to company standards. Liaison with project team members to plan for jobsite IT needs during project lifecycle. Determines, recommends, procures, and executes products or services that best fit the requesters needs, within DPR large project standards. Implements and follows large project jobsite standardization practices. Works with service providers and trade partners to install and implement jobsite technologies. Responsible for mobilization and demobilization of IT equipment at field offices and other remote areas across project site. Ensures quality customer service by maintaining ownership of jobsite escalated issues until resolved, including communication and root cause analysis. Flexibility to identify and self-schedule afterhours or weekend work when needed. Troubleshoots various technical issues as level 1, level 2, or level 3 support. Coordinate and track IT project deadlines and tasks. Responsibilities Support the overall Field Technology services across the Tampa business unit and designated projects Support existing conditions and as-built surveys for upcoming and current projects throughout the region. Support and/or perform initial surveying & field layout activities with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control, and quality assurance. Perform construction building layout with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control, and quality assurance. Plan and execute field survey activities in accordance with standards set by the project team. Plan and perform layout set out and back-check tasks. Leverage appropriate set up procedures using a robotic total station including known backsight and multi-point resections. Perform benchmark transfers using an auto level. Proficient with allocating and scheduling job duties to others. Ensure all equipment and materials are organized and equipment firmware is up to date. Support/Perform sUAS and 360 photo/video capture and post processing activities. Assist with reality capture services utilizing terrestrial laser scanning and sUAS/photogrammetry tools to capture, process, and document existing and as-built conditions of interior and exterior spaces. Support project teams and VDC engineers on the utilization and analysis of reality capture deliverables (point clouds, meshes, 360 photos, etc.). Basic Qualifications We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented individual that will relish performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with ability to multi-task, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines. The successful candidate will have: Ability to work in an environment that requires transparency, team collaboration, leading by influencing, and socialization of initiatives. Position requires lifting and carrying moderately heavy equipment (25lbs+), climbing ladders and occasionally scanning crawl spaces and enclosed ceilings. Flexible hours: Commercial building scans can start at 6AM and occasionally require weekend work. Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on construction experience in the AEC industry. Able to read and understand construction documents, shop drawings and plans. Comfortable viewing/interacting with 3D models.
