What You Will Be Doing:
As the Lab Technician, you will be responsible for the samples as they come into the lab. You will be required to input information from the sample forms into our database, prepare and process samples, and distribute sample reports. The Lab Technician is responsible for the daily cleanliness of the lab and monitoring supplies. Finally, the Lab Technician will provide customer service to our customers and fellow employees regarding the status of samples collected.
Primary Responsibilities:
Sort incoming samples for data entry.
Enter information from sample bottle labels into a computer program designed to track sample results.
Maintain and update customer information and sample result files.
Maintain a library of interpretative information and trend data.
Assist the Oil Lab Analyst who analyzes samples by processing them using sophisticated analytical equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to FT-IR machines, ICP Spectrometers, Particle Counters, Viscometers, hot plates, and microscopes.
Communicate results that indicate possible problems requiring urgent action to customers, Service personnel, and PSSRs.
Receive customer phone calls and answer questions concerning sample results
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain lab appearance and organization.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.

You should possess a strong sense of urgency and a desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Excellent computer skills
Good communication skills
Use of Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Basic understanding of equipment components
Prior experience working in a lab setting and/or familiar with lab equipment

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Analytical Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests on raw materials, certifying finished products, and performing requested laboratory analyses. You will also ensure the proper maintenance and cleaning of laboratory instruments while adhering to all company safety requirements and policies. Perform laboratory analysis on a variety of materials, including batch raw materials, glass, chemicals, and glass mineral wool final products.
Conduct tests to certify finished products and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports to support decision-making processes.
Maintain and clean laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Follow and actively participate in all company safety requirements, policies, and related documentation.
Assist Innovation team members with laboratory testing and other tasks as requested.
