Cincinnati State is looking for an Instructor (Tenure Track) to provide instruction in its Civil Engineering Technology (CET) majors (Construction Management and Architectural Major). The position is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position for which the primary responsibility is to develop and provide classroom and laboratory instruction of credit-bearing courses and assist with program assessment and curriculums within the CET majors.
The ideal candidate should have broad knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering technologies used within the AEC industry. Depending upon experience, this position will be responsible for classroom and/or online instruction in courses in:

Essential Duties:
* Develop and deliver learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success
* Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Assist in the development of new and maintenance of existing courses/curricula. Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks and learning materials
* Ensure that students achieve course and learning outcomes as defined by the program chair.
* Complete, as directed, all start and end of semester responsibilities, including submission of no-show rosters, final grades and other designated materials to the requesting college office.
* Maintain office hours to answer student questions and handle course-related matters
* Respond to requests (e.g., from students, administration, academia area chairs, department heads, committee chairs, records office, etc.) in a timely and thorough manner
* Support College and Division outreach and recruiting events
* Attend program, departmental, divisional, and college meetings
* Serve on college committees, task force, and work groups

Minimum Qualifications:
* Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university
* 3-5 years of industry experience in BIM and VDC
* Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
* Teaching, training or instructional experience of technical topics

* Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
* Industry experience in BIM,

Job Overview
The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the Mechanical Engineering Program.
Candidates in the following broad areas in thermal-fluids science will be considered: experimental/computational fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, energy conversion and storage, and hydrogen technology.
Essential Functions
* Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their specialty areas (as noted above) and participate in course and curriculum development.
* Develop externally funded research programs in their specialty areas (as noted above), publish research results in professional journals, and advise graduate and undergraduate students.
* Participate in professional service activities such as editorial/peer review, serving on departmental, college and university committees, and performing outreach activities such as speaking at recruiting events, hosting lab tours, helping with summer camps, etc.

Teaches the EKG/Phlebotomy curriculum certified through MedCA, and CNA curriculum according to Ohio Dept of Health.
May need to update curriculum to best practices, lesson plans, teaching materials to aid students in developing skills and confidence in healthcare areas.
Integrates computer-aided instruction into lessons as appropriate.
Teaches hands on skills in the healthcare courses.
Attends Clinical sites with students and overseas for safety.
Attends skills lab testing for safety of students and volunteers.
Collects, records, and reports all necessary information related to students.
Attends company-wide engagement and volunteer activities including outreach.
Keeps up to date with professional development and CEU's.
Requirements:
Associate degree in nursing but bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Experience working with adult and High School learners preferred.
CPR Certification and Bloodborne Pathogen certification
Registered Nurse with active license for the state of Ohio
Train the Trainer Certification active with the ODH- To be obtained within 6 months after hire
Experience teaching or instructing adults, in class instruction and clinical settings (preferred).
Ability to perform and teach an EKG test, venipuncture and basic skills of activities of daily living

Part-Time, Single Term Instructor

The Department of Computer Science in the Washkewicz College of Engineering invites applications for part-time single term instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The University is opening this posting for the purposes of establishing a pool of candidates, from which to select part-time instructor candidates.
Throughout the academic year, individuals may be contacted by the department to further discuss positions available, on an as needed, semester by semester basis.
Service as a part-time single term instructor does not accrue tenure rights. Part-time single term instructors serve by the mutual agreement expressed in each successive contract executed and are engaged to teach at the convenience of the university.
A part-time single term instructor shall not have teaching responsibilities exceeding nine credit hours per semester, and no other responsibilities such as to accrue to full-time faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (in rare cases where an exception can be justified on academic grounds, professional experience may be considered in lieu of a master's degree in the field)
