Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Create engineering drawings for proposed and existing gas facilities.
Assist engineering technicians with design of gas distribution government rebuild, new construction and reliability projects.
Assist engineering technicians with field work (inspection, staking, measuring and record verification).
Assist with coordination of design and construction of gas facilities with consulting engineers and construction contractors.
Assist engineering supervisor with data analysis, summary and reporting.
Enter inspections and record data in databases.
Update gas distribution maps and records as necessary.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Performance Expectations
Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department and the company.
Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.
Attend work on a regular basis and support the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
Ensure all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understand and comply with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Job Description
Our Roadway team works on a variety of transportation related projects, including urban and rural roadways, multimodal paths, and larger highways/interchanges. As a civil engineering student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of our team, working for our clients on projects with our most experienced engineers. You'll assist with project design through CAD drafting, performing research, and writing technical reports.
