Job Overview:
This internship provides the opportunity to participate in the full life cycle of pipeline projects from scoping to closeout. Construction Management
Assist Construction Specialists as they directly oversee and document all aspects of
construction and manage multiple construction inspection crews on major capital projects.

Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months.In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working on heavy civil underground structures such as cut-and-cover and mined tunnels, caverns, shafts, and underground facilities, including substations and treatment facilities, throughout the United States. You will be involved in the planning, organization, development, supervision, and interpretation of geotechnical investigations; this includes drilling/boring programs, laboratory testing, field/slope mapping, and excavation/tunnel mapping for the design and construction of slopes, embankments, retaining structures, excavation support systems, tunnel support systems, and foundations.Responsibilities:
Assist in the design of tunnels, earth retention systems, rock and soil slopes, and deep foundations.
Contribute to the design and support of rock and soil tunnels using numerical and empirical methods.
Support the development and implementation of geotechnical subsurface exploration plans.
Help prepare geotechnical data reports, interpretive reports, baseline reports, and design reports.
Interpret geology, geotechnical, and hydrologic conditions to understand their impact on design and construction.
