The Engineering Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for performing engineering projects related to the continuous improvement of production, production control, and/or quality. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this role will be on site at our Ply Gem Windows plant in Auburn, WA.

Primary projects include:
Create a Standard Work for every position in plant
Conduct time studies on every position in the plant
Create a balance Chart for every line in the plant

Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited school.
Experience with with AutoCad, Inventor, or Solid works will be an advantage
Experience in data interpretation/manipulation via MS Excel preferred

* Chemical Engineering Interns will assist with combustion optimization, emissions control, fuel quality analysis, and data-driven improvements to operations and maintenance procedures.
* Mechanical Engineering Interns will support predictive maintenance programs, equipment cataloging, procedure development, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge to sustainable energy production.
